Will the Thule Interstate Roof Mounted Cargo Bag Fit a 2014 Subaru Forester with Raised Side Rails

My Forester has only raised side rails. According to the description of the bag, it will attach to the raised side rails, as well as cross bars. Is the attachment as strong on side rails as it is with crossbars? Thank you.

You can use the Thule cargo bag # TH869 on your 2014 Subaru Forester with just the raised side rails. The bag is more likely to shift back and forth as you drive when attached to just side rails. But you can use protective pad # RL100650 to not only protect the vehicle but it will also help to keep the bag from shifting while you drive.
