This is a fantastic upgrade to the acid battery 9245C. It was very easy to install and put into Li mode. I highly recommend this product for anyone considering an upgrade. I considered stepping up to the 60amp but this one is doing the job just fine.

  • Which Progressive Dynamics Converter for Lithium Batteries Should Replace PD9245C

  • Replacement For A Phillips Converter PC-301-A-1 In A 1976 Coachman Leprechaun
To replace your Phillips PC-301-A-1 Converter, I recommend the Progressive Dynamics 9300 Series RV Converter Charger # PD69RR. This is a 45 amp converter with virtually identical input/output as your old Phillips unit. You will have to add a receptacle in order to use this converter. As far as specs this will be a suitable replacement. As a matter of fact, this will be a pretty big upgrade from a 1970s converter.

  • How to Upgrade to Lithium Battery Charging for Parallax 7300 Series Model 7345
It looks like your model 7345 is rated for 45 amps and the only options we have for you to add a lithium battery charger is by using the Progressive Dynamics 9300 Series RV Converter Charger # PD69RR or the whole 4000 Series Mini RV Power Center # PD4045KA. Unfortunately we don't have something directly compatible with your system.

  • Replacement Options For An American Enterprise CS-2000XL Power Converter
To replace your converter you have two options: Option 1: Completely replace the converter and AC/DC distribution panel. You could use a power center like the # PD4135K or a larger one if you'd like a higher amperage converter and more AC circuit breaker slots/DC fuse ports. This would require rewiring everything to this new panel so you may want to get a local electrician if you don't feel comfortable with handling the wiring. Option 2: Check which breaker is powering the converter...

  • Does Progressive Dynamics Converter/Charger PD69RR Have Lead Acid Lithium Switch
Hey Tom, yes the Progressiv Dynamics Converter part # PD69RR does need to be manually selected to either lithium or lead acid battery as it does not have an automatic battery type sensor. They played around with idea of using an automatic switch but the error rate of the sensor (that would have to run everytime the battery is used) wasn't successful enough so they went with a manual switch instead.

  • Availability Of Progressive Dynamics PD9145ALV Converter Or Newer Equivelant
Hey John, so the PD9145ALV Progressive Dynamics PD9100 series lithium converter is no longer available. We actually sold our last one about a month ago, so we may still have a few videos on the site featuring this converter, but we no longer have them for sale. The new multistage unit is the # PD69RR Progressive Dynamics PD9300 Series Battery Converter Charger. This is a 45 amp lithium compatible converter.

  • Will The Charging System on Tow Vehicle Damage a Lithium Travel Trailer Battery When Towing?
The Alternator on your GMC Savana van will not cause harm to the Lithium Battery # 34282738 in your trailer. It will simply maintain the battery while it is being towed. I do recommend you check the Converter # PD69RR on your trailer to ensure it is rated for charging Lithium batteries. • Can a 45 amp Converter Charger Be Replaced With a 30 amp Converter Charger
Yes, you can use the Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter and Battery Charger # PD9130 to replace your current PD9145. This converter/battery charger has less amps. The draw back to that would be that you have less power going to the batteries which will slow the charge process. Depending on the size of your battery bank, this may not impact you too much. We would recommend replacing your current PD9145 with a similar rated system like the Progressive Dynamics 9300 Series RV...

You will be able to use either the Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter and Battery Charger 60-Amp # PD79RR or 45-Amp # PD69RR to charge your lithium battery. The difference is going to come down to the maximum rate of charge that can go to the battery or batteries if you add a 2nd battery, which results in how quickly the battery can reach a full charge. The higher the amperage the more output to the batteries. Since your tiny house is using 24v lead acid batteries I recommend...
