Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter & Battery Chargers For 12V Lithium or 24V Lead Acid

Question:

I have a tiny house, running off 1200W solar input via the 24vx220ah lead acid battery bank and 2000 W Magnum pure sine inverter. I need to charge a 12v 100ah lithium battery. 1. What PD charger should I choose? 45amp or 60 amp? I am worried about the rate of discharge of my tiny house battery bank. 2. What if I have 2x 12v 100ah lithium batteries in parallel? What PD charger should I use considering my tiny house battery bank?

You will be able to use either the Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter and Battery Charger 60-Amp # PD79RR or 45-Amp # PD69RR to charge your lithium battery. The difference is going to come down to the maximum rate of charge that can go to the battery or batteries if you add a 2nd battery, which results in how quickly the battery can reach a full charge. The higher the amperage the more output to the batteries.

Since your tiny house is using 24v lead acid batteries I recommend either the Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter and Smart Battery Charger 25-Amp # PD922524 or 40-Amp # PD924024A. Again the charge time will be faster with the higher amperage charger.
