This cat-back exhaust system improves engine performance and durability by boosting horsepower and torque. Its technologically advanced, Mandrel bent tubing and straight-through muffler allow the exhaust to flow more freely through the system.

The cat-back system is the portion of the exhaust system from the outlet of the catalytic converter to the tailpipe. MagnaFlow systems have Mandrel bent tubes that allow for unrestricted airflow by maintaining the same diameter throughout every curve. This curvature leads to decreased back pressure.
MagnaFlow mufflers have a stainless steel perforated core that runs straight through the muffler, end to end, with no baffles, chambers or louvers that restrict airflow. A layer of stainless steel wool insulates the perforated core to absorb noise, shield high exhaust temperatures and prevent blowouts.
Together, the Mandrel bent tubes and straight-through muffler increase horsepower, torque and fuel efficiency and decrease exhaust gas temperature. MagnaFlow's signature sound is deep and throaty on throttle but quiet inside vehicles. All materials are made with 100 percent stainless steel. Clamps and hangers are included for installation. It includes a lifetime warranty.

Video Transcript for MagnaFlow Exhaust Installation - 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP
Today on this 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP we are going to install part number MF16726 from MagnaFlow. The first thing you do is get underneath the vehicle and we will spray down the bolts that are on the exhaust with some penetrant and that should hopefully loosen them up. When a car is a few years, these fasteners will be rusted pretty well so you may end up breaking them. So be prepared to just replace the fasteners. Now we are going to leave this nut partially on for now because we need to hold it up while we disassemble the rest of the exhaust. So we will move on down towards the back of the vehicle and we will add a strap to help hold up the exhaust while we remove the rubber isolators. Ok, we are going to spray down the rubber isolators with some penetrant and go ahead and remove them. It looks like we have them all done on the passenger side. Now we will move over to the driver side and remove those. 1:00
Now we will get an extra set of hands and we will go ahead and remove that one bolt by the catalytic converter and lower everything. We have our existing exhaust system lying out. We will go ahead and lay the pieces to the MagnaFlow system next to it so we can see how everything fits together. Let us go ahead and start putting the new stuff up. We will start off with the resonator. However, it does not have any reassembled studs in here. So we are just going to get new hardware and just bolt it in place. Now I am going to keep everything loose for now. Now we will go ahead and move on to the next one. Alright, we will move on to our next piece right here. We will go ahead and slide on the isolator from the old exhaust. Get a clamp and put it into place. Now I will move to the T-pipe assembly. We will start on the muffler now on the passenger side. We are leaving everything loose for now so we can make our final adjustments later. 1:56
Alright, with all of our major components in place, we will go ahead and straighten them out as we need it and go ahead and start snugging everything down. We have everything sitting the way we want it. Let us go ahead and work on the tips now. Let us go ahead and just slide them on and just adjust them the way you see fit for enough clearance underneath the bumper cover. With all of our clamps snugged down and the exhaust is in the position that we want it, we will go ahead and torque down the bolts as specified in the instructions. Once you have everything torqued down, go ahead and take the protective coverings off the pieces and then we will go ahead and take it for a test drive and see how it sounds. And there you have it for part number MF16726 from MagnaFlow.

My Magnaflow cat back exhaust system on my 2016 VW GTI gave me more of the sound I wanted for my little sports car, and it looks so much better than the stock exhaust system. Meaning: the stock muffler, which shows horizontally at the rear of the vehicle, looks like an afterthought, just a metal can. The muffler on the Magnaflow is hidden in a pocket near the center of the undercarriage, so it doesn't show at all. What is visible at the rear are the dual stainless steel pipes. In addition, the exhaust tips on the Magnaflow are larger in diameter to accommodate the larger diameter pipes, and therefore look more aggressive. I am very satisfied with the setup.

Have to say that I was a bit skeptical at first, as I don't know anyone that has installed this particular kit. After installation, I am pleased to report that it has exceeded my high expectations. Kit came complete with everything needed to install (less the flange bolts). Initial sound was excellent...not too loud that it bothers the kids while they're sleeping in the car, but deep and loud enough to turn some heads. Excellent experience dealing with Etrailer as well. Will not hesitate to do business with them in the future. Thanks again for the super fast shipping and excellent customer service!

The exhaust system fit perfectly, sounds great, and looks stylish. The exhaust tone is not overly loud, yet sounds much more powerful than the stock system did.

Hardest part of installation was getting the truck high enough off the ground to get the factory exhaust over the axle. The new system was relatively easy and fit perfect. The spare tire does not fit underneath with this kit installed. I put a Tire Buddy in the bed to hold the full sized spare. The heavy duty factory receiver hitch is not in the way. System has a mellow purr that should be street legal everywhere yet is semi-aggressive. No blatting or popping. Chrome tips seem to always get black with soot and need to be cleaned often. This is a premium system and should last the life of your truck. It is well supported and doesn't vibrate. I highly recommend it. If Chevy had this as an option they would sell lots more trucks.

I am well pleased with the system itself. This was actually a replacement under the warranty, and the previous system lasted seven years, here in the rust belt. Only complaint was the necessity of returning to manufacturer for inspection prior to receiving replacement. That meant my truck was down for about a month.

I believe it is the best exhaust on the market for this application. only thing is the exhaust tip needs bent down more as it touches the body and will melt plastic.

Not a great fit on my 2009This kit sounds and looks great, but the three bolt cat flange didnt fit my truck, it required machining to spread the holes further apart, just a heads up my honda ridgeline was built in june of 2009 and the install took 5 hrs because of this issue, however when finished it sounds and looks great.

Not a direct FitSounds good but had to modify rear brackets and drill holes in the frame to install on 09 F150 crew cab..not impressed with fitment or installation time..modification time caused loss of profit..
