If your 2006 Grand Prix has the 5.3L LS4 engine, MagnaFlow offers a # MF16726 Cat-Back exhaust system that will work great for you. The exhaust system will definitely give you a more aggressive sound when under throttle.
If you do a Google search on 'MagnaFlow on 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix' you can hear some sound clips so you can hear the difference between the stock. and the MagnaFlow exhaust.
If you click the provided link, you can see an install video showing the # MF16726 being installed on a 2006 Grand Prix.
