Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting or splicing required.
Features:
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Today we are going to be taking a look at the Hopkins Plug-In simple Vehicle Wiring Harness, with a four pole flat trailer connector. This product is going to fit a 2007-2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It provides a four way flat connector to the back of your vehicle, to pry your trailer signal lights. This is compatible with five pole, six pole, and seven pole adapters. Adapters are sold separately. It's going to come with the dust cap, for the four way flat connector, that way you can cover up the connection points when your plugs not being used.
This unit's designed to connect quickly and easily, all you have to do is locate the connection points behind the vehicles tail lights, and plug in your T-connectors. Now these connectors are going to match up perfectly with the ports on the vehicle. Again, this is a vehicle specific wiring harness, custom fit design. So located the connection points, get those plugged in. The connectors with the green wire, goes to the passenger side.
Connectors with the yellow wire goes to the drivers side. Then you'll need to make a ground connection. Your ground wire's your white wire. It has a ring terminal already attached to it. So you want to get that connected to a nice good metal location with the included grounding screw. Then, you can secure any excess, or slack in your wiring, with the included cable ties.
Once your installation is complete, the four way connectors are gonna be stowed beneath the vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket is recommended to keep the connector secure. Mounting brackets are sold separately. It's also recommended that you use a small amount of the terminal grease on all of your electric connections, like the plugs on the vehicle, and the four pole connector itself. This grease is going to help prevent corrosion, and the terminal grease is included with the kit.

There are videos online to help with wire routing locations for my 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The kit came with everything I needed however, a few more zip ties would have been nice. I would love to review it after a year to see how it stands the test of time.
