Steve: Hey, I'm Steve. Today we're checking out the Groundskeeper walk Behind Broadcast Spreader. The Groundskeeper is useful year-round. When it's warm, the Spreader's a great way to fertilize lawns and spread seed or livestock feed. In the winter, its heavy duty design makes it perfect for de-icing. Unlike a drop spreader, the Groundskeeper has an adjustable broadcast range of three to 24 feet.
This makes it easy to treat anything, from a sidewalk to a driveway or parking lot.The Groundskeeper comes out of the box, mostly assembled. Attach the handle to the flow regulator and the fully welded steel frame and you're ready to go. Using the Groundskeeper is easy too. Just fill the poly hopper with up to 100 pounds of bag salt, ice melt or other material and start walking. Use the flow regulator lever and the three poly deflectors around the spinner to customize the spread pattern to best suit your needs.Keep the spread tight for sidewalks and other narrow areas or open it up and let the material fly quickly to cover large lawns or lots.
The Groundskeeper's high flow rate means you can typically treat an area in a single pass, get the job done and get on with your day. The gearbox is fully enclosed to protect the spreader's moving parts from the elements. The Groundskeeper features commercial grade alloy metal gears, and an integrated grease fitting. This design is easy to maintain and built to last.The 13 inch pneumatic tires have an aggressive tread to trudge through snow or across uneven terrain. The Groundskeeper also comes with a hopper screen to help break up clumps of material, and a nylon cover to keep the hopper dry between uses.
Assembly a super easy. The only tools you need for this are two 10 millimeter wrenches and two 13 millimeter wrenches to tighten the nuts. Everything else is in the box. Let's get started.First things first, make sure you have all your parts. You should have the main spreader body, the handle assembly, the control handle assembly, the linkage plate assembly, the upper and lower linkage, the rear deflector assembly, top screen, rain cover, and your bag of hardware.
Once you finished inventorying and all your parts, it's time to start building.First, we're going to stand up the preassembled body of the spreader. Next, we slide the handle assembly into the spreader frame and line up the holes in the handle with the holes in the frame. Then, we carefully insert the lower linkage into the restrictor plate beneath the hopper, like so. Insert the other end of the lower linkage into the front hole of the linkage plate assembly. Once that's done, attach the linkage plate assembly to the handle of the frame, using the longer the two bolts in your hardware kit. Make sure you attach the lower linkage to the restrictor plate and linkage plate assembly before you attach the assembly to the frame. Otherwise the lower linkage will be extremely difficult to install and may cause the restrictor plate to break during assembly.Next, we mount the control handle assembly to the handle using the same bolts. Then, we insert the upper linkage into the control handle, like this. Thread one jam nut so that the restrictor plate under the hopper is fully open when control handle is set to 30. Use the second jam nut to lock the linkage in place. Check that the restrictor plate can fully close by pushing the control handle forward. This is important to make sure you don't lose material while the spreader isn't in use.Now all we have to do is attach the rear deflector using the smaller bolts. That's it. Tighten up your fasteners. Make sure the gearbox turns freely when you're pushing or pulling the unit. Install the auger pin into the spinner shafts. My stair handle won’t fold flat against the door when it’s in the towing position because it sticks out from the door surface too much. If the handle was relocated a few inches up or down it would be fine . I waited too long to send it back so I’ll let my son have it for his trailer. It does operate nice.
For the price initial indication is low quality. Requires a battery, but the box, paperwork nor the lock itself says what size battery. Installation instructions are on thin poor quality paper. Yes, it's minor, but gives the impression of low quality that they can include a decent set of instructions. Another minor item is it says use a #2 Phillips to open the battery compartment. It requires a #1 Philips. Something small, but gives the impression of low-grade product. Haven't actually used as it requires a non-standard battery that I need to purchase.

We received the entry door lock in tact and on time. The lock is of good quality and installation was a breeze! It fit perfectly in the cut out on the door and the simplified easy-to-understand instructions made the whole process simple and trouble free. I couldn't have been more pleased with the results. I wish I had made this purchase before taking my chances on another manufacturer's product that turned out to be a major disappointment. I highly recommend this lock to everyone, especially those that may be questioning their DIY skills.
We really like this lock. It was an easy swap out for the original equipment. It makes access quick and easy without searching for keys.
Maybe the easiest install I've ever done (and little projects like this rarely go well for me). The product works as advertised and we really like it. Beware that it takes a C123A lithium battery that does not come with it. I highly recommend this product.
Easy to install, however the curved handle hit the side of the trailer when opened all the way. The built in door stop was thick enough for the factory installed lock, but not enough for the new by lock
Very solid quality, easy to order, was able to track the shipment each step of the way. Arrived with no damage and was exactly as advertised. No issues at all, very seem less process.
This is a great product. It has worked flawlessly. I am still using the original battery in it after all this time. The only thing I wish is that it had a remote with it. I highly recommend this electronic lock to everyone.

No battery with lock, as advertised. Install was fairly easy, be sure to watch video and not pinch wires for electronics.
Will someone from etrailer send me a new, correct size battery?
Works as described. If I had done a little more research I would have bought one that had a remote unlock feature.
Had to return the first one because it was not keyed to match cylinder locks that were part of the same order. The replacement was missing screws, striker plate, and battery. Installation was easy. Have to order battery so not sure how the keypad works yet.
Product came incomplete. This was discovered when I was paying to have it installed. I had to pay for the install and wait for the piece to be ordered. I will have to pay for another partial install.
Called the company and they did not care that their incomplete product cost me dearly for install. etrailer just lost a customer that will need RV products in the future. I communicated this on the phone and the customer service person did not care. Be careful and order from companies that display “customer service” and don’t just put the words in writing on their site.
Great door lock. The door on my 5th wheeler needed to be slammed to close. After installing the epro, it closes and locks like a door in your house. Installation was a breeze and it works wonderfully. Kailey was super with her customer service I called with a couple of issues which she handled promptly and professionally Thanks.
Easy install works great
The product was shipped in a timely manner. Excellent communication regarding shipment tracking and estimated delivery. Installation was straightforward. Completed installation in 30 minutes. Love the product, quality is exceptional.
Much more heavy duty than other Keypad locks on the market. Bought to replace flimsy lock that was only a year old. Extremely easy install and works smother that any camper handle I’ve ever had! Well worth the money!
The lock eliminates the need for keys to secure the RV! However, the buttons take a considerable amount of pressure to get the lock to accept the number being entered.

Down side, directions could be better and the way the package came My first thought it was used the box was so beat up
the lock was fine just packed badly.
What I Think is that Global Link should look at the packaging before they send it out to the Wearhouse, so they don't have to deal with the returns. But etrailer was great to work with, they ship out quickly.
Works great. Reason I bought was that it has a 9 and a 0 button.
