Snowplow Installation
Front or rear mount? Versatility is the SnowSport LT's middle name.
Installation is quick and simple - just slide the included shank assembly into your 2" hitch receiver and secure with pin.
Once the plow frame is connected, attach the blade by lifting one end at a time onto the frame's holders. The lightweight aluminum blade construction makes lifting or adjusting an easy, one-person job. Secure the blade in either the transport or plowing position with the plow's snap pins. The low-profile design won't block your headlights, and the transport position is secure enough for highway travel.
If using with a rear-mount receiver, simply lower the blade to plow position and back up as usual. For a front-mounted plow blade, just drive forward with the blade in the plow position. The unique design takes the hassle out of plowing: This device has no hydraulics or complicated wiring. The push frame on the shank assembly allows the blade to move along the grade of the terrain for easier, more efficient plowing. The heavy-duty rubber cutting edge is effective yet turf friendly, collecting snow and squeegeeing slush without digging into the ground.
When you are ready to reverse your driving direction, the blade lies back, skimming over the surface of the ground until you change direction again to plow.
Handy blade markers extend vertically from the ends of the plow to help you see where you are plowing.
With the SnowSport LT, plowing snow is as easy as backing out of your driveway. Once you are finished plowing, simply lift the blade, refasten it in the transport position and head off for work or errands.

Today on our 2007 Dodge Ram 1500, we're going to be doing a review and installation of the curved front-mounted trailer hitch receiver, part number 31320. This is what your front-mounted hitch will look like once you have it installed. It's going to have a nice, sleek look on the front end and not protrude out very far from the bumper. It's going to be tucked up and underneath, so you won't have anything visible from the front besides the receiver tube, which is going to be at 2 by 2 inch square tubing with a 5/8s inch pinhole through the side. This receiver is going to have a 9,000 lb line weight, which means if you have a wedge or any kind of lines hooked up to it, it's going to support you pulling 9,000 lbs with it. A vertical tongue 00:46 weight of up to 500 lbs, and a trailer weight of up to 5,000 lbs. Now we'll go ahead and get a few measurements. From the center of our pinhole to the outermost part of our bumper, it's going to be about 3 and a half inches.
From the top of the receiver tube to the ground, it's going to be about 17 and 7/8s inches. Keep in mind the vertical measurement may change, depending on if the vehicle has a leveling kit or a lift kit. These measurements will help you in selecting from ball mounts, cargo carriers, bike racks, wench mounts, or even snow plows. Now with our truck up in the air so we can easily get to the undercarriage, we're going to go ahead and lift up our hitch so we can mark out the facial 01:26 where we're going to need to trim it. Go ahead and get an extra set of hands to help us hold it up while we mark it. Go ahead and take our paint pen and mark along the side so we can easily trim it.
Now that we've got our mark, we'll go ahead and let it down. Now that we've got the bottom lines marked, we will now need to mark up about 3 quarters of an inch. Once we have that marked, we'll go ahead and draw a line and square it off. Now we'll go ahead and get our rotary cutting tool and cut it out. Now we'll go ahead and clean up those edges, then we'll be ready to place our hitch up. With our extra set of hands holding our hitch up into place since we have that spacial 02:26 cut out, we're now going to use a light colored paint to go ahead and mark the hole points where we're going to need to drill.
We're going to have 3 points on either side. We'll go ahead and take our light colored paint so we'll be able to easily see it, and spray the holes. We'll repeat that on the driver's side, then we'll go ahead and lower down the hitch so we can punch our holes. We'll go ahead and work our drill bits up until we reach our 7 16s drill bit, so we can fit through our hardware. We'll start with a small pile of inaudible 03:15. Now we'll go ahead and repeat that same process on the other 5.
All right, now what we'll do once we have all of our holes drilled out to 7 16s, we'll go ahead and cast through our fish wire with the coil band in first, fishing it back up to the access point here so we can attach our hardware. Let's re-up 03:57 the coil then, now, we'll go ahead and attach our hardware. Go ahead and take the block, placing the block over the fish wire and into the hole. Then we'll go ahead and thread on our bolt and pass it through. I like to go ahead and put a little bit of tape on mine just so they don't come off mid-pull. We'll go ahead and repeat that same process for the other 5. With an extra set of hands, we'll go ahead and lift our hitch up into place, making sure that we don't press our bolts back up into the frame. We'll go ahead and take our provided flanch nuts and thread them into place. With all of our flanch nuts in place, we'll now go ahead and tighten them down. Now with our hardware tightened down, we'll go ahead and torque it to manufacturer specifications. That'll do it for our review and installation of our curved, front-mounted trailer hitch receiver, part number 31320, on our 2007 Dodge Ram 1500.

Easily attach a variety of accessories to the front of your vehicle with this fully welded, corrosion-resistant trailer hitch receiver. Perfect for winches, spare tire carriers and more.It wasn't hard to install, instead of the wire I used two pen sized telescoping magnets to wriggle them in the square holed plates. My plans are to use this hitch in place of tow hooks. Good looks and sturdy!
I didn’t know how much I would need this until I moved into my new house just yesterday. The garage door is much shorter at our new house, 7 foot vs. 9 feet. Using the front hitch and a 5 1/2 drop hitch, I have about two inches of clearance when putting my boat in our new garage. Without the front hitch I would have been able to get the boat in the garage. Not to mention how much more the trailer is to steering inputs, the garage is much narrower that our old one. If you have a tight spot to park something this will make your life much easier! Installation was simple and instructions well written. The tool to install the mounting bolts is a brilliant idea.
I like my front hitch.
Pros: easy to moderate ease of install.
Comes with all the hardware.
I have tested it using a winch on the front to move a 62 Lincoln continental, No problems.
Con: My truck is a stock dodge 4x4. My point being is it is not raised, but higher than typical dodges. I had to buy a front hitch guard because the hitch kept hitting the concrete parking barriers when you park. So if you are going to drive off road, keep in mind this hitch may hit.
If I sold my truck I would want to pull this part off if there was a way to put it on a new truck.

Works great, holds the winch in place and allows me to pull out cars or trees from easier to reach positions.
I am very happy with the product. Went on easy fit great. Looks very well made.
I was a little surprised with the snow plow. I thought it was going to be hydraulic/electric. It does okay, going on flat and slight declines. Inclines not so good. I also. Bought a rear trailer hitch. Very pleased with it.
Easy ordering, quick delivery, relatively simple installation. Took a couple of hours from start to finish and worked perfectly to back my camper/trailer into a tight space.

Still loving it George, thanks for asking! Recommend it to all who ask about it.
Having a front trailer hitch on my truck is great. Now I can pull my camper with the rear hitch & put my bicycle carrier on the front hitch. Have not tried moving my boat or camper with the front hitch yet, but I know it will be great for putting either one in to a tight spot.
The service I received from etrailer was outstanding; the customer service rep that helped me with my order was super friendly and very helpful with all my questions and concerns and processed my order on the spot. I had my shipping confirmation right after I placed my order and received my hitch in 2 days from start of my order... The only issue I had was from the maker of the hitch I purchased, the wire they give you to fish the bolts was too short from my access point on the frame of the truck but with a little extension added on the wire given to me allowed me to installed the hitch with no problems... etrailer in my book is A+++ and I will buy all my truck and hitch needs from this awesome internet store.. Thank You again etrailer for a super smooth transaction with my purchase.
Front hitch was fairly easy to install. Instructions easy to follow only complaint was wire for fishing bolts thru frame broke while pulling 2nd bolt thru. Had to make one from wire I had. Hitch works great for my needs.
Great company to deal with and the hitch fits perfect as did the last one I bought from etrailer.I mounted this front hitch on my 2004 Dodge Ram 4X4 and it didn't requirer cutting out the center of the spoiler.took about 35 minutes.Delivery was very fast and I am completely satisfied.
Received my hitch promptly and installation went fairly easy The only problem I had was that the fish wire tool was to short for the front two holes on both sides. I was able to attach a coat hanger to it to extend the reach and complete the job
The video was very helpful in positioning the hitch
All and all I am very pleased with this hitch.
we hooked it up today thursday march 20 2014. the hitch was very easy to install. we then hooked up a receiver with a winch mounted to it. we then hook the cable from winch to a tree to test the trailer hitch and the winch and receiver all at once it all worked great.can't wait to test it all out four wheeling. my friends will see it soon and they all want the same hook up.
Received the item a day before it was scheduled for delivery. Package well and was a good price!
Thanks,
Jared

I had ordered a similar hitch from Amazon weeks before receiving it damaged three different times. Three is a charm and I started searching elsewhere when I found you guy's, etrailer.com. The product arrived undamaged. Though I've not installed it yet I believe it will be a whole lot easier due to the wonderful installation video you sent me. I will tell you the video was a selling point for me. Thank you for the great service, product and the video.

Item is perfect...I installed it by myself in about 45 minutes on my 2004 Dodge Ram...No need to drill holes as they are already there, and didn't need to trim the air dam below :O)...the fish wire was great!!! easier to fish the bolt etc from the mounting holes straight up through the frame than trying to go all the way to the access hole though...
i recieved it in a very short shipping time, it was correct hitch, easy installation. great public relations with e trailer. highly recomend this co. and product. thanks
Received the hitch very quickly. Installed it in ~45 minutes. Exact fit on my 2005 RAM 1500.

Doing fine. No complaints.
Very high quality. Very easy to install. Does not take away any ground clearance. On the 2004 Ram, no drilling and no cutting fascia. I will use mine mainly for carrying bicycles while towing our travel trailer.
Like most everything we’ve bought here this worked well and was a good value.
The installation was only similar to the instructions but worked out well in about and hour start to finish. The wire to snake the bolts into place is clever.
Hitch fit my dodge ram perfect... no drilling and all the hardware came with it. Only took 20 minutes by myself to mount.. great product... thx
One of the best hitches on the market after 1 year of use still looks like new . I'm am planing on buying another truck and I will be buying from you again. Thank you for such a great product.
The product is great. Unfortunately, one came with my snowsport plow, so I have an extra. I was able to easily install.
Great hitch and makes positioning my travel trailer on a long and narrow driveway so easier!
product was good only one problem the fish wire was to short had to attach wire fishing leader to make it work. THANK GOD FOR BLUE FISH

Better than expected. I didn’t need it when I first bought it, but we moved shortly after I installed the hitch. I left a 9 foot garage door on a detached garage. With a 5 in hitch my boat clears a 7 foot garage door. It will not low enough off the rear receiver.
