The Detail K2 snowplow conveniently slides into your vehicle's front-mounted trailer hitch for fast, simple mounting. Easily raise and lower the plow from the comfort of your cab with the remote-controlled electric winch. The pivoting blade makes this plow ideal for rocky or uneven surfaces because it can adjust to the terrain.
Simple, Hitch-Mounted Installation
This hitch-mounted snowplow simply slides into your vehicle's front trailer hitch receiver, making it a breeze to install. A plow that attaches to custom-fit brackets ties you down to just 1 vehicle. But this hitch-mounted plow can be used on most trucks or SUVs with a 2" x 2" front-mounted hitch. As a result, this plow can be easily switched between multiple vehicles. And because it offers a nearly universal fit, you won't have to buy a new plow when you replace your old vehicle.
To install the snowplow, just slide the shank of the plow assembly into your 2" trailer hitch receiver (sold separately). Then use a pin and clip or a hitch lock (sold separately) to secure the plow in the receiver.
The snowplow comes with flip-down caster wheels that make the installation process even easier on you. Simply flip the wheels into position and you will be able to roll the plow into position for mounting or storage. The height of the wheels can also be adjusted to match the height of your vehicle.
How to Plow
Once the plow is mounted on your vehicle, lower the blade and set it to the desired angle. To set the angle, exit the vehicle and manually position the plow straight ahead, to the left, or to the right. Angling the blade allows you to push snow off to the side where you want it without having to change the angle of your entire vehicle. This is especially useful on a driveway or a private roadway where piling the snow straight ahead would create a barrier.
The plow comes with a wireless remote that allows you to stay warm and out of the elements while still effectively controlling the plow. The remote operates on a 2.4 GHz frequency, allowing it to quickly send signals to the winch without experiencing delays. And because it's wireless, you won't have to run wires through your dash. Nor will you have to leave your window cracked open in the middle of a snow storm just so that you can run a wired remote into your cab. You will be glad to have it on those cold winter days.
To begin plowing, just drive forward. When backing up to take another pass, be sure to lift the plow with the remote, then lower it again before moving forward. When approaching a large pile of snow, be sure to decrease your speed. Slamming into a pile of snow can void the warranty on the snowplow.
When you are finished, put your vehicle in park and lower the plow. Remove the plow from your vehicle after every use.
Easy Lifting with Electric Winch
The electric winch on this plow allows you to easily lift and lower the blade using the wireless remote control. If you prefer, you can also install the included in-cab toggle switch to control the plow. The winch uses a durable strap, which is much quieter than a chain, to raise and lower the plow.
Detail K2 Features
The snowplow features skid shoes that allow you to adjust the height of your plow. This allows you to efficiently plow over surfaces that are uneven, such as gravel roads.
Blade stiffeners, or blade support brackets, reinforce the connection between the plow and your vehicle. They add 2 additional points of contact with your hitch on either side of the plow's T-frame. Great easy plow to use. The hardware that came in was missing a couple nuts and bolts. Had to run to the hardware store a couple times to get the proper bolts and nuts. The plow doesn't come assembled. So expect a good evening to build this unit. First two years was great and the scraping was good. Back dragging slacks but again a lot of plows do that. So it's not terrible but does enough. Just leaves 1/4 of snow behind. But pushing snow forward works and scrapes nice on asphalt or concrete. The battery that came with the kit for the wireless controller didn't last 1 month. So be prepared to upgrade that. But it's been now on my 3rd year, one of the springs failed on it and currently searching for the replacement. The plow itself has a one year warranty so of course it's past due now. Overall it works and it's nice. Wish I had bought the power left and right but the manual lever works too. Also the side markers prematurely failed too so I had to buy meyer yellow ones from fleet farm. Cost another $xx. But I will update this as time goes.

It has been working very well as we have actually had a decent amount of snow so far this year. took a little longer than I thought it would to assemble and mount it but after it was on it works great and looks good.

2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
This is a very sturdy and well-made hitch. Installation was fairly straight forward - the directions and video are very good. My truck is a 2024 Silverado 2500 HD in High Country trim (why pay less?) so, the fairings/moldings under the front bumper were slightly different, but nothing that was not easy to adjust to. The measurements in the instructions were right on.
As you can see in the photos, we have two ebikes that we plan to haul around while we pull our camper. The hitch and bike rack set up appears to be very secure and stable. They sit a little higher than I would like, but not any higher that the snowplow lights I had on a truck I has way back in the day...
I'm pretty good at backing the camper (28 ft), but I am also looking forward to testing out pushing the camper into it's fairly tight parking pad. I've never done it, but I hear it works well in close spaces.
Lastly, this is the second hitch I have purchased from etrailer. We added one to the back of the wife's Rav4 last fall to haul this same bike rack and bikes. It also works great (tight, stable and secure) except note that the Toyota installation was a little more challenging as there is very little room to work & insert the bolts, however, no cutting was involved. It looks nice.
In any case, both transactions were great. If I had another vehicle that needed a hitch, I would purchase it again from eTrailer. Much thanks to all.

Super fast, free delivery. Box came in damaged, but the product was undamaged and complete. Installation instructions and video were spot on. The DK2 plow and hitch are awesome! As always, the communication from Etrailer from order to delivery is top-notch. Assembling the plow and mounting the hitch was easy. Took about 4 hours with me enjoying a few beers and taking my time one evening after work. Took on wiring the next day. I like a clean finish, so this part took me about 2 hours. I placed the control module on the fuse block as suggested (etrailer's videos are a BIG help). I placed the remote transmitter on the drivers side. I ran the plow lead down to the hitch from inside the vehicle. There is just enough wiring supplied and this allows me to tuck the connector inside the hitch when not in use. A hitch cover protects it from the elements. First use was 30" of snowfall! I plowed for about 3 hours straight. The engine compartment did get warm which made the control wiring warm and pliable; so the connector came out of the control module mid way through plowing. I used some dielectric grease and it stayed connected the remainder of my plowing. It takes some practice to hitch up to the plow easily. This set up took a beating first time out. Sure glad I ordered it!!

2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
First off, the Hitch was welded right and clean no spatter under cuts good penetration all joints lined up as should very square great job! I know a bit about welding and manufacturing, jigs and fixtures. Second the finish was great looks like it will last a long time. I mounted it on a 2022 2500Hd Silverado with the plow package took me 4 hours start to finish on the ground with a floor jack went as it should I took my time cutting air dams measuring twice cutting once. All went pretty well. Very pleased with the results there are cheaper hitches out there but this one is by far heavy duty and that's what I wanted for a winch and a snowplow. I think I might go ahead a build a bull bar and put in it when I am not using it. I ordered it two days later it came to my door and two days later I installed it. I would by it again and tell all my friends to get one if they needed one. Keep making great products for us hard working Americans.

Still working great no issues, it has had something in it since it was installed, went ahead and built a 3-inch square tube bull bar and added some lights to it. When I need to just unplug the lights pull the pin take it off and put in my 12,000 lbs. winch. I really like having the option of being able to use this on my truck.

The EcoHitch fits perfectly. Service was very good. The etrailer installation video was much better and more helpful than the instructions that came with the hitch. It did take several hours to install and some of the bolts were in very tight spots which slowed either installation considerably.

The hitch has been very handy. Putting a trailer in a very tight spot has never been easier. It is linke driving a forklift. It also works great putting racks on the front when towing a fifth wheel.

This is the best option short of buying a custom built set up without question. I used mine to hold a 12k winch. Never uad an issue. Installation was easier than i expected especially putting the bolts through the blind holes.

2023 Chevrolet Silverado
Was not happy to find my carriage bolts too short to put washers on. You might want to double check the tow hook bracket dimensions for the 2023 Chevy Silverado 2500 again. You are about an inch short on the bolts. Also, there's not much room to get your arms up inside to tighten the carriage bolts once the trim plate is mounted as per instruction prior to the hitch install. The video is not very descriptive of what piece gets mounted back on prior to hitch installation and I initially put both the trim and the subplate back on then realized my error when I couldn't put the hitch through the cut hole. Will be needing longer carriage bolts sent to me to put the hitch on correctly. What should have taken a couple hours took me 6!

My son and I installed the front hitch in about 3 hrs. No previous experience and no lift. It went on well, but would have been easier with a lift. I've used it once and it was great. I parked a trailer in a tight spot with no problem. The Hitch is well made and mounts securely. I'm very pleased with it.

At 10k/1k (total wt/tongue) capacity it’s more front hitch than I’ll ever need. Instructions were easy to understand and follow. Installation requires some cutting of the truck’s plastic trim. Bolted right up with no issues.

Poor customer service from Torklift!
One star - should be 5-stars, but my parts kit was sent with incorrect hardware. Torklift is slow to respond and sent out another kit with incorrect hardware. After calling about the second kit, they promised to overnight the correct parts, but the next day I only received notice that the parts would arrive 5 days later.
If the kit had arrived with the proper hardware, I’d giver the hitch, the 5-stars it deserves.
If you are like me and like to have as much prepared as possible before I get an item to install, then watch the video for the 3500 install, even if you have a 2500, like I do. The 3500 video gives you dimensions to make the cuts in your trim.
The directions are pretty straight forward. Make sure you clean the frame rail well, before adhering the small plate where your tow hook bolts go through. Some people have complained about them not sticking. I reinstalled those bolts the opposite way after mounting the hitch in place. The reason for this, is so I was able to torque the nuts.
This is a good solid and well built hitch. Really overkill for most applications. Too bad, lack of quality assurance and customer care makes for dissatisfied customers.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado
So shipping and all fine. Box beat up but everything there. Not unexpected. Hitch seems very well built. This went on my 2022 HD 2500 Silverado. They have not updated the application table to include the 2022, but the 22' is pretty much the same truck as the 20'.
Fits and exactly like the pictures. Trim cutting guidance was perfect and exactly the same for 22' model, but I advise to use a Fein or other oscillating cutter not a dremel. Your results may be better.
You will see to fit prior in reinstalling OEM recover hooks - and then reinstalling. The double sided tape is weak. Expect a plate to drop. Bit of a pain but manageable. Also (IMHO) there is good reason for initial fitting to run the long bolts from the outside inward - but when installing the OEM recovery hooks and preparing to torque - sending those bolts the other way (to outside) is sensible so you torque the nut and not the bolt head. Perhaps six of one.
This last is I think important - there is limited real estate to work. The torque process will take you some time and the nuts really need to be on the outboard sides. It will still not be pleasant - one to two ratchet clicks at a time. Note your anchor socket wrench on the inside will likely bind tight so have a dead blow to knock it loose when torquing is complete.
I did mine in the driveway in an afternoon. Mostly a one man job, positioned the hitch with a car jack. Two people will be needed for the torque part and reinstallation of the recovery hooks. You need more hands.
Read the instruction on the trim cutting carefully. Look at the pictures - take the booklet with you to the truck. Painters tape is your friend for clear marks for cutting. Make sure one of your 19mm sockets is a deep type.
Certainly looks perfect.
