There is no recommended center to center distance for the Pack Em Trimmer Rack, # PK-6, but they must be mounted a minimum of 3ft apart. Trimmers come in different sizes and lengths, so it is best to mount the racks to fit your specific trimmers. The distance between the racks will also depend on where you plan on holding the trimmers. Typically, trimmer racks are mounted to hold the trimmer at the trimmer handle and on the neck, about a foot or two from the trimmer head.

If you have an open trailer, the trimmer rack i recommend is the Pack'Em Trimmer Rack for Open Utility Trailers, part # PK-6. This rack will hold 3 trimmers, so you would need to order 2 of these racks to hold 6 trimmers. This rack attaches to the side rails of an open trailer, and has pre-drilled holes for easy installation. This rack also includes locks to secure the trimmers to the rack.
If you have an enclosed trailer, the rack I recommend is part # PK-6-5. This attaches to the wall... view full answer...
You'd have to install the other PackEm Trimmer Rack - Open Utility Trailers - 1 Trimmer Item # PK-6S on the other side of your trailer but once installed you'd be able to carry two trimmers. view full answer...
Yes, I spoke with my contact at RackEM and there was a design change which allows the arms on the Lockable Trimmer Rack for Utility Trailers # RA-6RL to fold down to a 45 degree angle. This will allow you to remove any of the trimmers on the rack while it is fully loaded. view full answer...
Pack 'Em doesn't offer a trimmer rack that would mount directly into a stake pocket. Your best bet would be to use wooden stakes and use those as attachment points for a trimmer rack like # PK-6S2 for one trimmer or # PK-6S-6S2 for two trimmers. I've linked to a product demonstration video for the Pack 'Em trimmer racks. view full answer...
To carry curved trimmers what you'd need to do with one of our trimmer racks like the part # PXSPDDTR3 is have the uprights of the carrier closer together so that the rack grabs the curved trimmers where they are straight.
For carrying blower packs you could then use the part # RA-19 mounted in your trailer. view full answer...
With the Pack'Em Single Trimmer Rack # PK-6S I would recommend having the motor of the trimmer facing the front of the trailer. The motor side mount fully latches around the trimmer whereas the other side requires you to angle the trimmer in to get it in place. It would be nearly impossible for this side of the trimmer to come out while traveling, but with it mounted behind the motor side this risk would get eliminated.

The # PK-6S2 is designed to fit the part # PK-6S and make it a 2 trimmer rack. If you wanted to make it a 3 trimmer rack you could install a second # PK-6S2. view full answer...
The feedback we've received about the Rack'Em Trimmer Rack for Enclosed Cargo Trailers # RA-5 is that the trimmers do a great job staying put. You could potentially wrap a bungee cord or something similar around them, but there isn't an add-on to keep them inside the hooks.
If you're really wanting something that "traps" the trimmers then I recommend picking up the Pack'Em Trimmer Rack for Enclosed Trailers # PK-6-5 instead. This is the same concept but the place where the main handle... view full answer...
There's no reason the Tow-Rax Trimmer Rack # PXSPDDTR3 couldn't physically install in an enclosed trailer. But your trimmers would most likely be held too close to the walls of the trailer. The rack would most likely need to be spaced out away from the walls of the trailer a bit to allow the trimmers to fit and clear. view full answer...
The RackEm Trimmer Rack for Enclosed Cargo Trailers # RA-5 has the top two hooks bent inward and the bottom hook not bent in. Our video states this is for larger items and references a pole saw or trimmer, but customers have used power pruners and trimmers in all three locations. view full answer...

The Pack'em Trimmer Rack # PK-6S-6S2 that you referenced actually features a padded piece on the front latch that's specifically designed to prevent the trimmer from moving around (along with protecting its finish during travel). This creates a tight attachment that will keep a standard size trimmer from flipping upside down like you described.
I have attached a couple images that further clarify this below. view full answer...
I have included a picture with the vertical distances for you to see. The overall height of the Pack'em Trimmer Rack # PK-6 is 46". It is capable of holding 3 trimmers with a trimmer pole that is 1-5/8" in diameter or smaller.
The distance on the fixed bracket arm is 9" from the trimmer pad to the bottom of the next bracket. On the locking side the distance is 8-1/8" due to the thickness of the hinge arm. view full answer...
Assuming that you have an open utility trailer, the Pack'Em Trimmer Rack, # PK-6, would work great to hold your two trimmers. 4 keyed-alike padlocks are included to secure your trimmers to the rack.
I spoke with my contact at Pack'Em and currently there are no racks available that are specifically made for a handheld blower. They do offer an Expansion Pack, # PK-OP1, which includes a mount for a backpack blower as well as a trimmer line spool and round cooler. You may be able to use the... view full answer...

All of our Trimmer Racks are bolt mounted, so you will have to custom mount them on a round top rail. You will either have to run bolts through your tube or run U-Bolts around your top tube.
For a Trimmer Rack, I recommend the Pack'Em Rack # PK-6-OP1. This holds 3 trimmers, 1 blower, 1 line spool, and one cooler. It is a very nice system with a gray powder coat finish. This does not come with mounting hardware, but does come with keyed alike locks.

If all you need is the trimmer rack the best option would be to go with the part # RA-6RL which is two uprights that allow you to carry up to 3 trimmers.
