I did some checking and the versions of the 2008 Chevy Aveo with an automatic transmission like yours have to be towed on a tow dolly like the Roadmaster part # RM-2050-1. First you should know that the trailer hitches that fit the 2005 Chevy Aveo are actually Class I trailer hitches. These hitches also have 1-1/4 inch receiver openings like Class II hitches but Class I hitches are rated lower.
