We do have license plate lights that are submersible and can be used on your boat trailer, though the Optronics LED Trailer License Plate Light w/ Bracket # LPL55CB is not submersible.
Instead, you will need the Optronics LED Trailer License Plate Light with Bracket - Submersible # LPL56CB. I have added a link to a video review of this light for you to check out. view full answer...
I reached out directly to the manufacturer who explained that because it is an accent light, there is no type of lumen rating they have for the LED Livewell Boat Light - Recessed Mount - Waterproof - Blue LED # TN97RR.
They said there actually isn't any type of output rating for this light at all as those ratings are given for scene lights or interior lights. view full answer...
You are correct. The Roadmaster Wireless Tow Lights are weatherproof and can be used when driving through snow or rain, but they are not submersible.
They should be removed before launching your boat and then remounted when you pull the boat back on the trailer and ready to tow it again. view full answer...
The LED lights are sealed so they are not replaceable on the LED Light Kit for Post-Style Boat Guide-Ons # CE27656A.
That said, LEDs are made to last for years or over a decade depending on your usage. And for a boat trailer that is only going to see moderate usage compared to LEDs in a home or on a vehicle, there is a far better chance of essentially any other part on a trailer needing to be replaced than these lights. view full answer...
I talked with my contact at MaxxTow about the MaxxTow Off-Road Light Bar, part # MT80636.
They said the body is made of aluminum and the screws are made of stainless steel so it would be able to mount on the boat and you should not have a problem with corrosion. view full answer...
Trailer manufacturers use many different size and style lights for their trailers so I cannot tell you exactly what kind of light you have on your Heritage. I did some research and saw the newer trailers have LED lights.
As far as covers for the light, I have attached a link to the light covers we offer. You will need to know the tail light number to find an exact match. The part number for the light assembly is typically found on the body of the light.
You may decide to replace the... view full answer...
It sounds like you have coupler like the Dexter Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator # T43397007K and hydraulic surge brakes on your 1998 Eagle boat trailer. This particular coupler is specific to drum brakes but there are similar units for disc brakes Item # T47457007K.
The 4-Way Wiring # HM48138 on your trailer will only control the lighting for the tail lights and running lights on the trailer.
If you are needing replacement parts please send me images of what you have on your trailer along... view full answer...
In the video for the LED Boat Spreader Light # TN58RR which I have linked below the back wall is only a few feet from the back wall. This light uses a flood style beam to project light out over a large area. To compare I have linked our review video of the SteelHead LED Work Light # TN66RR below which uses a spot type beam. You can see in the video this one has a much more target beam. view full answer...
The LED lights on the CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons # CE27760 do not have separate wiring for only the red portion of the LED Cap Light # CE27656A. They are normally used to act as running lights to make maneuvering the trailer easier in low light conditions as well as providing an extra marker light for other vehicles on the road to better see the boat and trailer. If you would rather wire these lights to your brake lights circuits there would not be an issue with that.

All of our boat trailers come with the necessary documents needed to register the trailer including the CE Smith Boat Trailer part # CE48810. You will need to take these documents to your local DMV to obtain the title. This particular trailer is an excellent option because it will work with most boats up to 12' long and 800 lbs. The trailer comes with carpeted bunk boards, a hand winch, lighting, wiring, and everything else you need to hit the road with a properly equipped tow vehicle.... view full answer...
The Peterson LED Clearance lamp you're asking about, part # M215A features a sealed LED and circuit board, so it is considered submersible and could indeed be used on your boat trailer. view full answer...
I called my contact at CE Smith and asked them about the Post-Style Guide-Ons with LED Lights for Boat Trailers, part # CE27760.
They told me the lights are submersible and no worries there. The posts are PVC so that is not a problem either. The L-bracket that the PVC uprights are attached to are galvanized and over time they will be affected by salt water. Rinsing them off will help delay the effects of salt water. You can also paint them before installing that would help a lot. view full answer...
Before deciding on which trailer hitch and other towing equipment you will be needing to tow a boat, an understanding the towing capacity and tongue weight capacity of your vehicle will be needed. The attached picture is from the 2014 Jeep Cherokee owner's manual and lists the maximum trailer weight ratings for all the Cherokee drivetrain options for the 2014 year.
If your boat and trailer combo falls under the max weight rating for your specific Cherokee, then you will be able to tow... view full answer...
The 5th wire on your boat trailer is most likely tied into a reverse lockout. What this does when you are backing up it doesn't allow the brakes to engage on the trailer. So without it the surge brakes on your trailer will activate when you're trying to back up your trailer. When you try to reverse the surge brake will think you are stopping causing them to activate. If your surge brake has a manual lockout or override then you won't have a problem. If the electric lockout is the only option... view full answer...
If you are going to purchase the Curt Hitch # 13086 for your 1985 Toyota Pickup, the hitch will be able to withstand the 2,100 pounds of your boat (along with the trailer as long the combined weight does not exceed 5,000 pounds or whatever the max tow weight capacity rating is for your 1985 Toyota Pickup). From my research, it looks like the weight rating of your vehicle is 3,500 pounds. However, in order to know for sure, I recommend consulting your owner's manual for that capacity. The Sealed, Thin Line LED Trailer Clearance, Side Marker Light, part # MCL75AB is sealed and waterproof and would work well on your boat trailer. This light measures 3-15/16 inches long X 1-1/4 inches wide X 7/8 inch deep. The mounts are spaced 3 inches apart.
You will also need the bracket with plug for installing the # MCL75AB. For the black bracket base you would need to order part # A65PB, and for the chrome finish bracket you can order part # A67CB.

The Halogen Docking Lights, part # DL-16CC are water resistant in that they can withstand being sprayed or splashed. They are NOT submersible. I would not recommend installing them in a location where they would be totally immersed. view full answer...
