The weight of the cargo carrier as well as the weight of the cargo is included in the tongue weight for a hitch on your 2014 Dodge Challenger. The vehicle manufacturers tow rating is always going to be the final word as far as towing capacity goes. In some cases using a weight distribution system can raise the towing capacity of a given receiver hitch, but it will not be able to raise the capacity of the vehicle.
