Is There a 1-1/4 to 2 Inch Hitch Adapter For Spare Tire Carrier
Question:
Want to add a spare tire carrier to rear hitch. However, Honda crv hybrid has a 1.5” reciever, not a 2” . Do you make a carrier that fits a 1.5” or is there an adapter to take it to 2”. Great looking website

Thanks for the kind words about the website, and you mentioned 1-1/2" hitch for your CR-V, but I believe you meant 1-1/4" as there isn't actually a 1-1/2" hitch made. And while there isn't a carrier for a 1-1/4" hitch, there is 1-1/4" to 2" hitch adapter so you can use the Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier - 2" Hitch # e98ZR.
What you can do is use the Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # HTAD.
It's important to note though that the use of any adapter reduces the capacity of your hitch by 50% - including the tongue weight capacity. So if your CR-V has a 200 lb tongue weight capacity that would be reduced to 100 lbs, meaning the most the spare and carrier could weigh together is 100 lbs. The # e98ZR weighs 15 lbs which should give you an idea of if this will work for you. The other thing you will need is a hitch lock to keep the adapter secure to your hitch, part # e98879.
