The Solera RV Slide-Out Awnings are shipped in a well packaged rectangular cardboard box. That said, there is really not much that can be bent in shipping as the fabric encases the roller tube and will protect this pretty much on its own. I looked through some of our reviews and did not see any comments of components being bent upon arrival but you are free to do so yourself as well.

To determine the correct slide-out awing you simply need to measure from flange to flange and the fabric will need to extend at least 2-1/2 inches beyond that measurement.
