  • How to Select Replacement Tail Light For Older Pop-Up Trailer
  • We don't have any way of knowing what replacement lens is needed for any trailer, including a 1985 pop-up, and realistically with a trailer of that age you'll likely have to replace the light altogether. It's pretty simple to do though, as you just need to find one that is approximately the same size. For example, if your lights were about 8" x 3" you could go with the Aero Pro Combination Trailer Tail Light - Driver Side # ST37RB and Passenger Side # ST36RB. I have added a link below...

  • Replacement Switch For Landing Gear Jacks Not Switching Polarity
  • That's very odd, and the best guess I have is a possible ground issue with the switch on what I assume is landing gear since you mentioned power jack. A bad ground is the cause of numerous funky issues so check to see if you are properly grounded. If it is, since the jack works properly directly with the 12 volt battery then the switch is the issue and can be replaced with the Replacement Switch for Stromberg Carlson Electric Landing Gear # LG-145236.

  • Have we Test Fit Yakima HD Tracks on 2022 Chevy Silverado
  • We have not test fit the Yakima 60" HD Tracks for Roof Racks, OverHaul HD, and OutPost HD # Y74MR on a 2022 Chevy Silverado. That said, they do have wiggle room for positioning, and the cap nuts on the underside are just a 1-1/4" in diameter so they won't take up much space. I've added a link below to the instructions of the # Y74MR which may help decide if these are right for you (the truck bed rail install starts on page 6.

  • How To Change Fan Direction On A Non-Reversible RV Roof Vent
  • To change the direction of a non-reversible MaxxAir fan you would only need to swap the wires at the motor and wouldn't need to take it apart or change anything with the circuit board. I recommend using some heat shrink butt connectors # DW05744-5 for your connections to prevent any water that could potentially get in from corroding the wiring.

  • Can a Weight Distribution Hitch Be Used On a Boat Trailer During Launching and Recovery?
  • You may run into some traction issues especially if you are using a rear wheel drive only vehicle. A weight distribution hitch like the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37060ET is designed to transfer weight that would normally be on the rear end of your tow vehicle and transfer it to the front axle as well. The reduction of weight on the rear drive wheels may result in loss of traction on a wet boat ramp. You will need a Pole-Tongue Adapter for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution...

  • Can Trailer Backup/Observation Camera For 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 be Viewed on Factory Screen
  • There is not a backup/observation camera that can be viewed on the factory screen of your 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500, so you do need to get a camera with its own monitor. Reason for that is these cameras are not able to pair with your truck, or have wiring that can be spliced into your monitor. If you are okay with that and still want a backup/observation camera, go with the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System # FOS05TASF. This has a nice, 5 inch touchscreen so it's easy to...

  • Can you Weld a Wheel onto the Older Thule T2 Bike Rack
  • The newer Thule T2 Pro, part # TH83JV, has rollers attached, but the older ones did not. It sounds like your have the older T2. While it is entirely possible to weld anything onto your older T2, I cannot say what will work or what size you need. You may be able to use something like the Ultra-Fab Steel Roller for RVs with 2" Trailer Hitches, part # UF48-979020. You might be able to weld this on the rest area to use the roller as your wheel. Again, I cannot say for sure if this will work,...

  • Do SumoSprings for 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 Affect Quality of Unloaded Ride
  • The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SS45FR that fit your 2019 Chevy Silverado will not affect your unloaded ride quality essentially at all. There is a gap between the springs and the axle so the only time you may notice some slight stiffness is going over a pretty significant bump. Other than that the unloaded ride won't be affected, and if you take a look at the customer reviews on the product page you can see that other customers mention they don't notice them when unloaded. You...

  • Will Voltage Stabilizer In Line Work With Furrin Camera on 2022 Chevy 1500
  • If you don't want to use the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter # FR87PR we do have another solution for a voltage stabilizer but I don't have any thoughts on the converter you mentioned because it's not something we have done or have any experience with. But what you can do instead is use the 12V PWM Filter for RV Backup Camera Systems # VGR64VR. This splices into your Furrion camera's wiring and works to ensure the camera has the proper voltage.

  • How to Determine if Weight Distribution System is Needed
  • I love the fact you are taking the potential need for a weight distribution system seriously and the first thing I'd like to note is that a weight distribution system is strongly recommended if your trailer weight (GTW) is more than 50% of your vehicle's weight (GVWR). In regard to tongue weight, you do not need to find the weight of the two different axles, as you can see by the cut out, I added from the help article I linked for you on how to determine tongue weight. Along with the weigh...

  • Are K-Source Towing Mirrors For 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 Convex on Bottom & do They Vibrate
  • Excellent questions, and the bottom mirrors are actually spotter mirrors and not convex for the K-Source mirrors that fit your 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500, which are the following part number: - K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors - Electric/Heat # KS62147-48G So what a spotter mirror means is that you will be able to manually adjust it in order to help you with any possible blind spots both when the mirrors are extended and not extended. • Does a Breakaway System Need to Have the Breakaway Switch to Properly Function
  • Your Brake Buddy, like the Roadmaster Even Brake # RM-9400, needs to have a breakaway switch to properly function. Without a breakaway switch the vehicle that is being towed could cause much more damaged as the brakes would not be activated if the vehicle being towed were to be disconnected. Nobody ever expects that something will happen to them, but it is always best to go with more safety and ensure that it is all setup correctly.

In regards to the fifth-wheel tongue weight (kingpin weight) the guide only said that it should be 15% to 25% of the loaded trailer weight and...
