The Tork Lift camper tie-downs we offer are all meant for the 6-1/2 foot bed, not the 5 foot 7 inch bed on your truck.
CR Brophy offers the # HSSF which would work with your truck, as long as there is 2 inches of clearance under the bed lip as shown in the photo I provided. The Brophy Clamp On Camper Tie-Downs # HSSF will have a very slight amount of play since there is a compressible pad to prevent scratches on the bedrails, but it sounds like you're having much more significant play. I've attached a picture from an install of this part and you can see that the bolt is at its limit on threads. If you're seeing the same with your install then I recommend picking up longer T-Bolts with part # BR2007 to close the gap and tighten it down more to your bedrails. view full answer...
The TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs - Rear Item # TLR3510 is competing for the same space as the step so unfortunately there isn't a work around for this tie down. Instead you could replace the steps that bolt onto the wall of the camper like the TorkLift GlowStep Stow N' Go Scissor Steps w/ Landing Gear - 3 Steps - 375lbs - Black Bracket Item # TLA7833.

Glad to hear most of the installation of your TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs # TLC2225 went well, however to fix the issue you're having I recommend re-tapping the threads for your bed bolt as they may be worn or stripped out.
To further secure the bolt into it's spot you can also use some thread locker like:
-Loctite Threadlocker 262 - High Strength - Up to 3/4" Nuts/Bolts # LT37420.

I was able to reach out to my tech contact over at TorkLift to get some guidance on the installation of the TorkLift Front Tie-Down # TLF2022 for you. He mentioned that you'll want to apply pressure to the tie-down (pull it down a little bit) or to the bolt threads so that the star washer stops the bolt from spinning- you can use some channel locks and a rag to save the thread or use a screwdriver against the threads so that it doesn't spin. The Pin Locks for TorkLift FastGun and Derringer Turnbuckle Handles # TLS9500 do fit snuggly on the TorkLift Turnbuckles, but we have not heard of any fitment issues like you are describing. If this only occurred on one of the handles then perhaps there was some extra heavy paint finish preventing the lock from fitting together properly, thus leading you to file down some of the finish. First thing to do is use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to check each pin function on your trailer connector at your rear bumper. I've attached an article to assist with function locations. It sounds like your system was overloaded and shut down. The change in draw with the headlights on is significant enough that a bad ground on your trailer or truck could cause the camper lights to go out.

Sounds like you have eliminated your truck as being the problem. With your truck plugged into the trailer you will want to use a circuit tester, like part # PTW2993, and check each terminal on the new 7-Way connector on your trailer to make sure they are working properly.
Looking at the front of the 7-Way trailer connector, make sure the number 1 terminal (ground), at the 5 oclock position on the connector, is grounded properly to the trailer. Also, make sure to test the 12 volt power... view full answer...
From what I can tell of your explanation, it sounds like the trailer battery is backfeeding into the truck, causing this issue. The only way I can think of that this would happen is that your 7-way like the 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector # H20043 is not pinned correctly. I'm not sure which trailer connector you purchased from us so the best I can offer is for you to ensure the 7-way is wired correctly by function instead of by matching colors.

If your trailer is being towed so it's level and the fender height is equal or nearly so at the front and back wheels of of your Tundra, it sounds as if your system is set up correctly, assuming that the fully loaded weight of the trailer doesn't exceed the rating of the system you're using. Be sure that the weight of any cargo carried in the truck bed behind the rear axle is included in that tongue weight figure.

The OL code on your Prodigy P2 brake controller indicates the brake controller senses an overload condition. Possible causes for this are a short on the electric brake wire (blue wire) or a poor ground connection.

The pin box on your trailer should be adjustable. You should be able to lower it in the mounting holes that attach it to the frame. This will give you the addition clearance you would need between the bed rails and the trailer overhang.
21 inches is about as tall as you are going to get from a fifth wheel hitch. The fact that isn't enough clearance makes me think your trailer's pin box is up too high and could come down. view full answer...
Since you've had the brake controller, brake magnets and wiring adapter pigtail replaced, I think it's safe to rule out each of those components.
You've had somebody tow the trailer around with a different truck without the problem being recreated. Is it possible for you to tow a different trailer that's equipped with electric trailer brakes using your truck? This would effectively rule out your truck as being the problem.

What you described is a classic insufficient trailer ground. What you will need to do is run a jumper wire from the ground wire on the trailer connector (7:00 pin on the 7-way) to the trailer frame and the intermittent issue will go away.
What is happening is that your trailer harness doesn't have a sufficient ground so it is trying to ground through the hitch ball. Since this is a solid connection you are getting the intermittent connection.

It sounds like you may not have power getting back to the camera. Start the truck. Check the plug on the truck to make sure you have power coming from all the pins except one. One will be ground. Have someone run through the functions on the truck while someone test the pins. If you have power there, plug your camper into the truck and make sure all of the lights are working. If you tested the brake circuit on your Silverado's factory 7-way and found the voltage to jump up and down as you test (without touching the controller) then it is likely that it has failed. Despite the convenience of factory controllers many owner's end up replacing them with superior aftermarket units which typically work a lot better and cost less too. Popular options are the Prodigy P2 # 90885 and P3 # 90195.
