Adding Bump Stops To Air Bags In Use On A F350 DRW And Lance Camper 980
Question:
Under Lance Camper factory recommendation I had the Firestone Air Bag system installed when I had the truck set up for using it with the camper. Since then its been white knuckle ride in terms of sway. a real pucker factor so to speak. I have since stopped using the air bags and rely on the factory overload spring to engage to control the sway. Since these TLA7200 bump stops engage the overload springs sooner, is it any benefit to even use the air bags with these bump stops? I see that etrailer.com promotes air bags, but wanted your take on using both or just eliminate the air bags altogether. On a side note, the air bags help with leveling the camper out once camp is set up, so they are good for something.

The TorkLift StableLoad Suspension Upgrade for Upper Overload Springs # TLA7200 would be a great way to add suspension enhancement without utilizing your air bags. It prematurely engages the overload springs which means that you get more stability and control while driving down the road. Then when you reach your campsite you can simply level everything out with your air bags like you're already doing.
