Trailer wiring harness # C55339 installs in a factory wiring harness located on the driver's side of the back of your 2001 Isuzu Trooper. The factory harness should be attached to a grommet between the rear wheel well and the bumper on the exterior of the vehicle. It appears that it also could be near or above an exhaust pipe.

According to Tow Ready, the connection point is located underneath your 1994 Isuzu Trooper on the driver side between the rear wheel and bumper. The plug is hidden as it is attached to the back side of a large rubber grommet. According to the illustrations in the instructions, the grommet should also be behind or otherwise near the exhaust. When installing a transmission cooler like Derale Transmission Cooler, # D13504, it does not matter which side is intake and which is output. You do not have to bypass the factory cooler if you do not want to.
