- You are correct when you say there is not an air cushioned pin box like the Trailair Flex Air 5th Wheel Pin Box part # LC369535 that goes up to 23,000 lbs. The LC369535 is rated for 21,000 lbs. It sounds like you have a Moryde Pin box which is most likely rubberized which helps to absorb some of the shock while towing already.
Since there is not an air pin box that has the proper capacity for your truck, I recommend to switch out the fifth wheel hitch for one with a better king pin connection....
