What you can do is bend them back as long as they paint doesn't flake or show creasing. Other possibility is vehicle was maybe involved in an accident.

The Lamp-Out Sensor Bypass only affects the stop/turn signal circuits and the Curt Echo only affects the brake output and 12 volt power circuit. The rest of the circuits are just pass-thoughs so there should not be any issues whatsoever although we have not yet tested this....
