If you measure from the center of your hitch pin hole to the outermost part of your door on your 2021 Mercedes-Benz Metris and it's less than 50" then you'll have enough clearance for this to work for you!

From the bottom of the Curt hitch part # C13276 down to the ground on your 2019 Mercedes Benz Metris will measure right at 10 inches. I attached a picture that shows that it fits up to the bottom of the rear bumper about as tightly as it could. I also attached an install video link with more info as well. While we have not installed the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76015 in our shop on a 2021 Mercedes-Benz Metris I do have some measurements which will allow you to see where it will fit on your Metris. From the center of the lowest mounting hole(see image) to the lowest point on the receiver is 8-7/8". To the bottom of the end of the receiver you are looking at closer to 8" since the sides of the mounting bracket hang lower than the receiver. view full answer...
To add a hitch to your 2016 Mercedes-Benz Metris, I recommend the Curt item # C13276. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Metris with included hardware. It is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver, that has a 6,000 lbs towing capacity and a 900 lbs maximum tongue weight. It looks like without the towing package your Metris tops out at 5,000 lbs.
