The two holes on the metal spacer block that are included with the Rhino-Rack Foxwing and Sunseeker Awning Mounting Bracket part # RR43259 are spaced 1" apart on center. I called my contact at Rhino-Rack to confirm this. view full answer...
It is harder to find trailer jacks with 2 inch outer tube diameters, but the Dutton Lainson part # DL22530 does have that outer tube size.
For a foot you'd want the part # DL22541 and then for a wheel part # DL22414. view full answer...
Without the extension piece installed the Yakima LongArm Bed and Roof Load Extender # Y01149-1150 sits 9" out and 46-3/4" up from the center of the hitch pin hole (see attached photo). The extension piece adds between 7-1/2" and 21-1/2" to the height so with the extension you're looking at 9" out and then 54-1/4" min to 68-1/4" max up from the center of the hitch pin hole.

This bike rack fits the 2" receiver of the etrailer item # e78KR you are having installed. The carrier is lightweight at only 47 lbs so it is easily removable. The best feature about this bike is its ability to fold down so you can access your rear cargo area. I have attached a picture below of this function. I went out to the warehouse and pulled an Thule # XADAPT8 kit, an M6 barrel nut, and a regular M6 nut. I tested all the parts together and found what I think is the problem you are having. The bolts are M6 bolts but they are fine threaded. You are probably finding nuts that are coarse threaded.
The Thule barrel nut fit perfectly which is how I know they are M6 bolts. The other nut would nut screw onto the bolt because it was coarse threaded meaning the spaces between threads was larger... view full answer...
The ground clearance may be reduced some, not much. It depends on whether or not something under the vehicle sits lower. The hitch should not stick down so far as to make going over curbs a problem I have added a link to the instructions below that will give you a good idea of where the hitch mounts. view full answer...

The diameter of the hitch pin hole on the etrailer Trailer Hitch # e78KR that fits your 2004 Honda Element is tje standard 5/8" diameter. They have stopped putting the smaller holes in the hitches because they are no longer used. To add a class I hitch to your 2003 Honda Element you will want the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C11700. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Honda with included hardware. This hitch only has a 200 lbs tongue weight capacity though.
I looked online and your Element has either a 300 lbs or 350 lbs tongue weight. With this in mind I recommend going with a class III 2" hitch like item # e78KR and using a reducer sleeve item # HT02. This hitch has a 350 lbs maximum tongue weight and the... view full answer...
