The important thing to remember is that the trailer hitch is rated for 3,500 pounds. If the vehicle is rated lower, which in this case it is, you go by the lower rating. You would not want to go beyond the capacity specified in your vehicle owners manual.

I went out and took the measurement on both hitches for you. The Draw-Tite, part # 76145, measures about 9 inches from the top of the wings where the hitch mounts to the vehicle's frame to the bottom of the collar around the receiver opening. The Curt, part # C13093, sits a lttle lower, the same measurement is about 10 inches.

The Draw Tite hitch part # 76145 that you referenced which fits your 2014 Chrysler 300 does have a 675 lb tongue weight rating so it would have the needed capacity for your chair setup but you'd need to verify that your vehicle also has the needed tongue weight capacity as well. view full answer...
