  • Differences Between the Longview Custom Mirrors # CTM1600 and the CIPA Custom Mirrors # 10901
  • The custom towing mirrors available for your 2011 Chevrolet Silverado are the Longview Custom Towing Mirrors-Pair, part # CTM1600 and the CIPA Custom Towing Mirror-Driver Side, part # 10901 and CIPA Custom Towing Mirror-Passenger Side, part # 10902. Both of these brands are very similar. They will both vibrate a little since they are attached to the factory mirrors but it is not enough to cause any problems or impair the vision in the mirror. We have gotten good reviews on both of these...

  • Purpose Of Second Mirror On Dual-View Clip-On Towing Mirrors
  • I recommend the larger single mirror like the # KS3891. A mirror like the K-Source Universal Towing Mirror, part # KS3891, has a large face single mirror that measures 7-3/4 inches tall x 5-1/8 inches wide. A mirror like part # 11953 has the dual mirrors like you mentioned. The intent of the smaller mirror is to provide a spot mirror that is designed to help you when passing or changing lanes. I feel as you do that a having dual mirrors could prove to be a distraction and I would go...

  • Comparing Slip-On Towing Mirrors for a 2012 Ford F-150 SuperCrew
  • I am not sure who you called but I will be happy to help you with slip-on towing mirrors for your 2012 Ford F-150 Super Crew. For your truck we have the CIPA towing mirrors # CM11800 and Longview mirrors # CTM2300B. The biggest difference between these two sets of mirrors is design and how they install. The CIPA mirrors cover a larger portion of the stock mirror housing that the Longview mirrors. You could say that this gives the CIPA mirrors more stability. These mirrors stay fixed to...

  • Comparing Custom Fit VS Universal Fit Towing Mirrors For a 2004 Toyota Tundra
  • The Longview Custom Towing Mirrors # CTM4000 for your 2004 Toyota Tundra Access Cab will have a mirror that is 5-1/2" wide x 4-1/2" tall. With a universal set like the CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors # 7070-2 the mirrors are 7-1/2" long x 5" tall. While the larger mirror will give you more to see they are going to end up being less visible at most highway speeds as the larger mirror will tend to get a vibration from the wind hitting the mirror. The custom fit mirror will be more clear...

  • Towing Mirrors for Permanent Mount Compared to Removable Towing Mirrors
  • The Cipa Universal Door Mount Mirror # CM45000 comes in a quantity of one. This mirror is compatible with either side of your vehicle, so you would want to purchase two for a matching set. These are excellent sturdy mirrors that have a solid mount to your vehicle doors. If you are instead looking for mirrors that come as a set and are compatible with most factory mirrors, I recommend the K-Source Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirrors - Clip On - Pair # KS3990. This can easily be detached...

  • Comparing K-Source KS3891 and Cipa 40375 Universal Fit Towing Mirrors on 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
  • Both mirrors would work on your Grand Cherokee, but I always recommend the K-Source # KS3891 over the Cipa 11960 (which is our part # 40375) because of the way the mirrors attach to the vehicle's factory mirrors. The K-Source mirror uses 2 ratcheting rubber straps for a tight fit that's allows minimal vibration. Combine this with the mirror's light weight, the mirror is not going to move around, it'll stay where you put it. This is why our customers rate this mirror so highly. The Cipa...

  • Differences Between Snap-On And Slip-On Tow Mirror Extensions
  • The K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors part # KS81850 are snap on side mirror extensions whereas the CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors part # CM11550 are slip on. The difference between the snap and slip options are as follows: The snap on mirrors will provide a much more secure fitment around your factory mirror however, the tighter fit could cause more wear to the mounting surface. The slip on mirrors will prove to be a less secure fitment and will reduce the chance of surface scratches....

  • Will the K-Source Universal Towing Mirror Have Better Field of Vision than Custom Mirrors
  • The K-Source Universal Towing Mirror, # KS3891, has a slightly larger mirror than most slip-on style custom towing mirrors, so it will offer a slightly better field of vision. It also gives you the ability to adjust the mirror from a horizontal position to a vertical position for better height or width views. A universal mirror is not quite as aesthetically pleasing as custom mirrors and they are prone to a little more vibration, but they will still get the job done.

  • Comparing CIPA and K-Source Clip-On Towing Mirrors for a 2012 Toyota Tundra
  • Both the K-Source towing mirrors, # KS81300, and the CIPA towing mirrors, # CM11300, do fit if your 2012 Toyota Tundra has electric and/or heated stock side mirrors. They will not fit Limited or Platinum models though. I agree that the K-Source mirrors would look better but you would get a tighter fit with the CIPA mirrors. With any clip-on towing mirror there is going to be some vibration. It is just an unavoidable issue with this type of mirror design. Replacement mirrors, see link,...

  • CIPA or Longview Towing Mirror Recommendation for a 2015 Ford F-150
  • Either one of the CIPA # CM11550 or Longview # LVT-2300-C towing mirrors will work well for you. As you pointed out, the CIPA mirror will allow more of the mirror's turn signal to be visible. CIPA makes very high quality mirrors and even though we don't have any feedback yet on them since they are very new I would still recommend them for you since they have such a great reputation and all of their other custom fit mirrors fit very well. The attachment method for either mirror would...

  • Is There a Difference Between K-Source Towing Mirrors for 2016 Toyota Tundra?
  • The only difference between the towing mirrors is that K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirror # KS70104T is for the driver's side of a 2016 Toyota Tundra while # KS70103T is for the passenger's side and # KS70103-04T allows you to purchase both at the same time as opposed to individually. These mirrors are a conformed fit for your 2016 Tundra and are power mirrors with heated glass and turn signals on the sides. I've added a link to a video review of the mirrors for you to take a look at.

  • Durable Towing Mirror For The 2017 Chevrolet Colorado
  • When choosing between the CIPA Deluxe Door Mount Mirror # 11650 and the Wheel Masters Eagle Vision Universal Extendable Towing Mirrors # WM6600-2 I'm giving the edge to # WM6600-2 when it comes to build quality. The CIPA Deluxe Door Mount Mirror # 11650 is very stable and offers a pretty wide adjustable range for mirror placement and also includes non-scratch mounting pads to protect your vehicle. But the Eagle Vision Universal Extendable Towing Mirrors # WM6600-2 seem more durable....

  • Comparing K-Source Universal Towing Mirrors KS69ZR and KS3891
  • Both of these mirrors are designed to be a universal fit with a manually adjusting mirror, but the K-Source # KS69ZR has a rubber strap that is not ratcheting. The # KS3891 has a ratcheting strap with a different strap that allows you to get a bit tighter around the mirror and will ultimately reduce vibration during travel. The # KS69ZR is also a pair of mirrors where the # KS3891 is a single mirror. You can get a pair of the # KS3891 with part # KS3891-2. I've also linked our review videos...

  • Longview does make a set of custom towing mirrors that are designed to perfectly fit the factory mirrors on your 2020 Ram 2500 with part # LO34FR. • Difference Between Snap-On and Slip-On Towing Mirrors for 2019 Ford F-150
  • The difference between the two is actually pretty simple; the CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors - Slip On # CM11550 will fit over the mirrors of your 2019 Ford F-150 and attach via a wedge that you tighten with a wing nut on the rear of the mirror. Comparatively, the K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors - Snap On # KS81850 fit over your mirrors and use tabs that clamp around the top and bottom of the mirror. I recommend going with the CIPA because they can be tightened to ensure you aren't...

  • Recommendation Between the CIPA and K-Source Custom Towing Mirrors for a 2020 Ram 1500
  • Between the CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors # CIP98MR and the K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors # KS80730 for your 2020 Ram 1500, I prefer the K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors # KS80730. The reason I prefer the K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors # KS80730 is because they just snap onto your mirrors with no additional hardware that that could get lost. They also feature cut-outs that allow for features your mirror may have (like turn signals) to still function.

  • Does the K-Source Replacement Side Mirror Fold Manually or Mechanically
  • The K-Source Replacement Side Mirror # KS69014S folds up manually with the "breakaway" function in order to reduce damage if it is struck by anything. The electrical function referred to on the product page is the electrical adjustment of the mirror that can be done with the factory controls. This is a factory replacement for the side view mirror on a 2006 - 2013 Suzuki Grand Vitara and you will have to fold the mirror in towards the vehicle by hand in order to operate that feature.
