  • Difference Between Curt RV Bumper Hitches 19101 and 19100
  • The difference between the two hitches is the size bumper they are designed to fit. The 19100 # E-100 is designed to fit a 4 inch square bumper and the # C19101 on the other hand is designed to fit a 2 inch by 4 inch bumper instead. Basically you'd need to measure the dimensions of your bumper to know which you would need. Most likely it's a 4 inch square bumper though as that is the most common size.

  • Comparing Regular and Deep Drop Bumper Trailer Hitches for a 1964 Chevy 1/2 Ton Truck
  • A standard bumper looks like a regular old bumper that goes straight across at the top and bottom and might have a cut out in the center for a license plate but the cutout does not drop below the bottom of the bumper. A deep drop bumper will have the cut out in the middle but drops below the bottom of the bumper (at the center) so that it angles up from the center to the outer edges of the bumper. I have included a picture that better illustrates this. For models with the standard bumper...

  • Replacement Rear Bumpers for a 1982 Toyota Pick Up Truck
  • The bumpers that we carry for the 1982 Toyota pickups are not exact OEM matches. Westin does not offer a Perfect Match brand bumper for the 1982 Toyotas. The bumpers that are available, see link, are the closest match to the OEM but will vary slightly from the original factory bumpers.

  • What is the Difference in the two Hitches part # C13388 and # 13375
  • The difference in the two hitches is what type of bumper they are designed to fit with. The vans had a standard rear bumper option and a step bumper option. The step bumper option gives you a step which allows you to climb into the back more easily. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13388 is designed for the vans that have the standard rear bumper. The side plates on this hitch are shorter than they are on the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13375 which is designed for use on...

  • Is Chrome Coated Bumper More Resistant To Salt On Dodge Dakota 2002 Quad Cab
  • I spoke with my contact at Westin and they told me that the Westin Rear Step Bumper, part # 31012, is a fit for your 2002 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab. This is chrome plated for corrosion resistance, and has 3 Integrated hitch ball holes. This is an OEM replacement so it is constructed just like the factory bumpers. As with any metal, care should be taken to remove any harsh chemicals or road salt, and prevent it from contact with the bumper for extended periods of time. The # 31012 bumper comes...

  • Finish Comparison for Replacement HighRock 4x4 Rear Bumper on a 2004 Jeep Wrangler
  • There are two finishes offered for the Bestop HighRock 4x4 Bumper that will fit your 2004 Jeep Wrangler. The Satin Black finish # B4290201 and the Matte Black finish # B4490201. I have linked them both to this page for your convenience. If you would like to send me a picture of your stock front bumper, I would be more than happy to help compare which finish is closer to your stock front bumper on your vehicle. Satin is more of a semi-gloss while matte is not shiny at all.

  • Comparing Front Mount Receiver Hitches That Fit a 2015 Ram 2500 4X4 For Carrying a Winch
  • The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31015 does sit very far behind and below the factory bumper. When we installed it on a 2015 Ram 2500 like yours in our shop the hitch receiver pin sat 10" behind the leading front edge of the bumper. Since there are several different winches and mounts available and without knowing how the new bumper will change that 10" measurement it is hard to know exactly what will fit until the new bumper is installed. My biggest concern with this comes...

  • Universal Bumper Mount Hitch or Custom Fit Hitch Receiver for a 2013 Nissan Frontier
  • The Curt 2" Trailer Hitch - Bumper Mount - 10-1/2" Bolt Pattern item # C19031 is a universal fit for any truck with a step bumper. I have linked a diagram detailing the measurements of this bumper mounted hitch. This is not a custom fit so you will have to drill into your Nissan Frontier's bumper. If you would like a custom fit hitch that bolts directly to your vehicles frame I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" item # e98869....

  • Hitch Receiver for 2001 Chevy Silverado with Roll Pan Bumper That Does Not Use License Plate Hole
  • You are correct. For the 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500, the Curt # 13932 is the only available hitch that can be used with the roll pan bumper. If you wanted to use one of the hitches designed to circumvent the deep drop bumpers that were often found on this model you could use the Curt # 13339. However, this is still a Class III hitch receiver, so it would not increase your towing capacity and there is not anything for use with an aftermarket roll pan bumper that is higher rated than that....

  • Comparing Curt Bumper Mount Trailer Hitch E-100 and Frame Mount 13703
  • Both the frame mount hitch # 13703 and the bumper mount # E-100 have 2 inch receivers. Both are rated for 350 pounds tongue weight and 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight. The bumper mount E-100 is more limited as to what it will fit on. First, the bumper has to be rated for use with a hitch. It must be a 4 inch square continuous welded steel bumper. A bumper mount hitch in general is not as stable as a frame mount. The frame mount 13703 can be bolted or welded on. It fits box frames, I-beam...

  • Choosing an Aftermarket Rear Bumper for 1992 Ford F-150
  • The Westin Fey SureStep Bumper # 21002-92230 is a fit for your 1992 F-150 with standard bed and the same is true for the Surestep Deluxe XLT Rear Bumper # 21007-92230. The only difference between these two bumpers is that the step-pad surface on # 21007-92230 extends down over the lip of the chromed surface. I confirmed with my technical contact at Westin that both of these will fit your F-150. Both come complete with the required custom installation kit and install without drilling.

  • Differences in Finish for 6" Mount-n-Lock Heavy-Haul'r RV Bumper Replacement Kits
  • The Mount-n-Lock Heavy-Haul'r RV Bumper Replacement Kit - Brushed Finish # MNT93VR is a bright finish that looks and is a step up from the basic Mill finish of the Bumper # MNT28VR you're comparing it to. The Mill finish is an untreated metal so you're essentially getting it directly from the manufacturer and you can coat it however you'd like. The best bumper finish comes with part # MNT73VR which is a glossy black powder coat finish that's pretty standard on trailer equipment and provides...

  • Comparing Drop of Curt Hitch C14108 and 14211 for a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD
  • In regards to the Curt Trailer Hitch Receivers for a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD - 6-1/2 Foot Bed, the part # C14108 will sit closer to the bumper like the factory hitch when compared to the part # 14211. The latter has a higher class rating which requires more material i.e. gussets so it won't sit as closer to bumper.

  • What is the Bumper Clearance Distance for the Curt Hitch # C12198 on a 2019 Subaru Forester?
  • As far as comparing bumper clearance distance on your 2019 Subaru Forester, you are right in saying that the Curt Hitch # C12198 installs closer to the bumper than the Draw-Tite Hitch # 76271. The distance between the center of the hitch's pinhole of the Curt hitch to the outside surface of your rear bumper is only 4 inches compared to the 5 inches of the Draw-Tite Hitch. If you still find that you need less of a distance, we did install the Curt Hitch # C47HR on a 2021 Subaru Forester...

  • Bumper Mount and Frame Mount Trailer Hitches for a 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan
  • On most vehicles, the bumper beam is attached to the vehicle frame. A hitch that attaches to the bumper beam (a lot of Jeep and Dodge truck applications are like this) is just as safe and secure as a frame mount hitch. It would take an impressive amount of force and one heck of a crack in the road to pull the bumper off of a vehicle, provided the hitch is installed correctly. Your mechanic may be thinking of a hitch that attaches to a square bumper like # E-100. You would not use this...

  • Comparing Curt And Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receivers for 2021 Audi Q5
  • I would be happy to make a recommendation for a trailer hitch for your 2021 Audi Q5. Between the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13331 and Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76183 I recommend the Curt # C13331 due to it allowing the rear bumper beam structure to be reinstalled for extra strength in the rear of the vehicle, and requiring less modifying to the rear bumper fascia. Draw-Tite has mentioned that in their testing that with their hitch installed the bumper beam structure...

  • Which Hitch Does Not Extend Past the Rear Bumper on a 2008 Lexus RX350
  • We have a video installation of the Draw-Tite Class III Max-Frame Trailer Hitch, item # 75153, on a 2007 Lexus RX350, see link, that shows the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the farthest out part of the rear bumper at 1-1/2 inches, this leaves the receiver portion of the hitch out about 1/2 inch past the rear bumper. The Curt Class III Hitch, item # 13530, installs flush with the farthest out part of the rear bumper, so it would be the model that extends the least distance,...

  • Whats the Difference Between Curt Hitch E-100 and C19101
  • The difference between the Curt RV Bumper Hitch # C19101 and the Curt RV Bumper Hitch # E-100 is the application. If you have a 4 inch square bumper you would want the # E-100, if you have a 2 inch x 4 inch rectangular bumper you would want the # C19101. If you check out the pictures I attached you can see how the mounting plates are different distances apart.
