Is Chrome Coated Bumper More Resistant To Salt On Dodge Dakota 2002 Quad Cab

Need new bumper for my 2002 Dodge Dakota and I am wondering how the chrome holds up on these bumpers. Is the chrome plating good quality? Live in Michigan so it will see some salt.

I spoke with my contact at Westin and they told me that the Westin Rear Step Bumper, part # 31012, is a fit for your 2002 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab. This is chrome plated for corrosion resistance, and has 3 Integrated hitch ball holes. This is an OEM replacement so it is constructed just like the factory bumpers.
As with any metal, care should be taken to remove any harsh chemicals or road salt, and prevent it from contact with the bumper for extended periods of time. The # 31012 bumper comes with a 3 year warranty against any manufacturers defects, so this would be a great choice for you.
