We do have two trailer hitches confirmed to fit the 2016 BMW X1 but both are the Class III type that have a 2-inch receiver opening, The etrailer # e93KR and Curt # C13303. Both will need some drilling for installation.

While it is unlikely that etrailer trailer hitch # e93KR will interfere with the hands-free hatch sensors on your 2018 BMW X1 there is still the possibility that it will limit functionality of it.
