It appears you already found the Cover # RM-055-3 for the Roadmaster Nighthawk All-Terrain Tow Bar # RM-676. Remember to use the Cleaner # RM-9932 and Lube # RM-747 on your tow bar if it is going to sit in the cover for a long period of time. This will help extend the life of the seals. view full answer...
Both the old Falcon 5250 tow bar and the current Falcon 2 # RM-520 will work with the same crossbar assembly part # RM-067. So if you already have the Roadmaster crossbar you should not need any additional parts to bring it together with the Falcon 5250 tow bar. You would just secure each arm using the Base Pins # RM-910029. view full answer...
Hey Lyle, yes the Roadmaster Tow Defender part # RM-4750 will work with your Blue Ox Base Plate kit and Roadmaster tow bar part # RM-676. view full answer...

Hi Andy,
The Roadmaster Tow Bar to Blue Ox Brackets Adapter # RM-031 would allow you to connect your Roadmaster Sterling All Terrain Tow Bar to the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX2163 as long as the tow bar's serial number is up to up to 16,500. If your serial number is higher you'll need to use # RM-031-5 (works with serial numbers 14,501 and higher) instead. view full answer...
Hey Jeff,
Since most tow bars have to sit up 90 degrees and then turn to either side to stow you'd almost certainly need to remove a bike rack. The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter # RM-077-4 you were looking at would allow you to haul both but it along with even their largest version # RM-077-10 would likely still have the bike rack block the tow bar from stowing. view full answer...
Hey William, so the Blue Ox base plate kit part # BX1986 actually has a wider mounting tab location than what the # BX7380 can work with so this tow bar won't work for you and there isn't a similar solution that would. Instead you would need to go with a tow bar that has a wider tab range like the Blue Ox Avail part # BX7420. view full answer...
Your Roadmaster BlackHawk with the Serial 013797 is definitely older than July of 2020 but aside from that I don't have any more insight into how old it is. When I reached out to my contact at Roadmaster they said their computer system only goes back to July of 2020 with serial numbers and when they ran yours nothing came up which means yours is older than that.
If your goal is tow bar maintenance then we have the following parts you can use to service the Roadmaster BlackHawk tow bar:

Hi Robert; hopefully your Roadmaster tow bar is one that attaches to direct-connect base plates as opposed to crossbar base plates; for example the 8,000 lb Roadmaster Sterling would be optimal. Assuming that, here is what you need to flat tow your 2024 Ram 1500 with a tow bar like the Sterling # RM-576:
- Base Plate Kit: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-522203-5
- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Wiring Kit # RM-15267
- Supplemental Braking System - MOTORHOME WITH HYDRAULIC BRAKES:... view full answer...
Hey Glenn, yes the Roadmaster Falcon tow bar part # RM-522 will work great with a Roadmaster base plate kit. This is the tow bar I recommend the most with Roadmaster base plate kits actually. view full answer...
Hey Dave, so the inner arms of the etrailer XHD tow bar part # e67ZR only can lock in the out position and not in the in position. In general the inner arms aren't going to extend out by themselves and if they did they wouldn't be wider than your tow vehicle so you wouldn't need to worry about them extending out wider. view full answer...
Hey Dal, so the Roadmaster base plate kit part # 1175-3 can be used with a Demco Commander tow bar part # DM9511012 but you will need to use the adapter part # DM9523032 with it. view full answer...
It sounds like you have a Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar # RM-520 which has a towing capacity of 6,000 lbs. I looked up the weight of a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it would weigh between 4,500 and 5,300 lbs so it would easily have the needed capacity.
So for a base plate kit for the Grand Cherokee you would want the # RM-521440-5 which is a confirmed fit, easy to use, and compatible with the Falcon 2. The price for this is available at the links below.

The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1728 you found is what you need to flat tow your 2017 GMC Acadia Denali AWD using the Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7420. You would want to use the Flat Tow Wiring Kit # RM-15267 to integrate your tail lights to operate off the tow vehicle. And you will need a supplemental braking system like the Brake Buddy Select # HM39524 due to the weight of your Acadia. view full answer...
Hey there Tyler; thanks for the question and we can get the 2021 Ford Ranger set up to be flat towed behind your motorhome. In regards to the tow bar, since the Ranger weighs not even 4,500 lbs you definitely don't need to spend more money to get the 10k tow bar, a less-expensive (but just as effective) option is what I would go with. As for the brakes are you talking about your motorhome? If it's a Ford F-550 it will have hydraulic brakes and not air brakes. So all that said, here are... view full answer...
Hey Cyndi, yes the Blue Ox base plate kit part # BLU82CR that you referenced is compatible with the Blue Ox Ascent tow bar part # BX4370. These two would work really well together. view full answer...
Hi Michael,
We can get your 2007 Chevy Tahoe set up to be flat towed behind your Winnebago motorhome, and for base plates and a tow bar I recommend going with Blue Ox as the base plates will fit both the hybrid and non-hybrid versions and their tow bars have a higher capacity than most, which is needed for a big SUV like your Tahoe.
For wiring and the brake system though, Roadmaster is what I like the most because we've seen over time the quality of both parts of the flat tow systems,... view full answer...
