The MORryde StepAbove RV Steps # MR85RR weighs about 70 lbs. As far as the flip step, I assume you are referring to the MORryde Flip Tread RV Steps # MR42UR which weighs about 45 lbs. Both of these steps will fit your 28" wide door. Personally I like the MORryde StepAbove RV Steps just because of how stable they are. There is no movement or bouncing when you use the steps like a lot of other RV steps. They are a bit heavier than others but they are really not difficult to open and close,... view full answer...
Unfortunately Thayne, I have no way to look up what parts were installed on your 2008 Coachmen Freedom Express 21QB motorhome. So you are going to need to measure for the width of your step and the amount the step needs to drop. Here is a list of the different single steps we offer with the widths.
Kwikee Electric RV Step Complete Assembly - Single - 26 Series - 23-1/2" Wide # LC3711363

I do have a solution, but there are no handrails made specifically for the Lippert SolidStep RV Steps # LC791573. My recommendation is to install the MORryde Safe-T-Rail Telescoping RV Hand Rail # MR54BR. This rail is 54" long and is going to extend 42-1/2" from your RV wall so it is a much better option than something like your standard grab handle.
I have attached a review video below for your reference. In the video you will see this works really well with 4 steps so it should be even... view full answer...
Hey Kathryn, thanks for reaching out!
Lippert used to have the Motor Upgrade Kit LC379801 for your steps but they discontinued it a few years ago so the only way to get your step back up and running is with a completely new step.
The part you're looking for is the Replacement Step, Motor, and Switch for Kwikee RV Electric Steps - 26 Series # LC3711361.
I'm attaching a dimensional photo for you to reference and make sure that this matches the specs on your current steps. view full answer...
Hey Ken, yes the Kwikee 32 Series RV steps part # LC372261 is the correct replacement for your Coach Step 128980 and would plug into the same connectors you have now. view full answer...
Hey Tommy, the RV step kits like the part # LC375821 that you referenced weren't designed to fit trucks but if you were willing to do some modifications I am sure there is a way for it to fit and work. The level of modifications that it would take is not something we are familiar with though. view full answer...
Hi Mike,
The Lippert SolidStep RV Steps # LC791575 would stick out from the trailer roughly 50". If you don't have enough space to allow for this then I recommend checking out MORryde's 4-step options # MR28RR or # MR42UR as they come with pins in the mounting brackets that can be removed to pull the steps out and gain access to the trailer in tight spaces. view full answer...
You are correct since your steps are 29" wide, the only one it could be is the Kwikee RV Electric Steps - 27 Series - item # LC375632. We have a couple of replacement parts but there is no replacement motor. Since you are dealing with so many corrosion issues, I recommend replacing the entire thing with item # LC375632. view full answer...
Sorry Deborah, I am a little confused with your question. The switch included with the Kwikee Electric RV Step Complete Assembly # LC3658373 when switched on should allow the steps to extend the first time the door is opened and keep them extended out until the switch is turned off and the door is closed.
If you are referring to the override for the ignition switch wiring this will override the manual switch and allow the steps to extend and retract with the door opening and closing.... view full answer...
I do have a recommendation as there is not a clear lens available that fits the Light Kit for Kwikee Electric RV Steps # LC379414.
Since the light is a simple 12 volt light you can install a LED Utility Strip Light # TN36ZR on your steps. You will need to connect the negative wire to a suitable ground location as the Kwikee light only has the one wire connector. The aluminum housing provides a durable rust free housing that protects the LED lights. view full answer...
Hey Ken,
Based on your product code you have a 2nd Gen set of MORryde steps so you'll need the # MR73AR if you're wanting a standard bolt-on handrail. If you have enough space next to the door then I recommend the MORryde Safe-T-Rail Telescoping RV Hand Rail # MR54BR. This handrail extends out 41-1/2" from the trailer wall so that you have more handrail to grip as you climb or descend the steps. If this interests you then check out my installation video below to see if this will be a... view full answer...
Hey Jim,
There unfortunately isn't a guide to tell us what steps were installed by the manufacturer in your 2021 Dutchmen Astoria so we'll need to take a few measurements first to determine compatibility. The first measurement is going to be the width of the narrowest part of the door frame. There should be a flange on both sides of the door that prevents the door from swinging into the camper. The steps will sit between these flanges so we need to know how much space we're working with.... view full answer...
If you have a strut that attaches to the bottom of your RV door you'd have a hard time fitting a MORryde StepAbove part # MR26RR with it as it would interfere when trying to fold the step up. So what you'd most likely need to do is remove the strut to use the step but there is chance it could fit just depending on the setup. Worst case scenario you could install a strut setup on the top of the door instead. view full answer...
Hey Jeremy, the correct replacement latch for the MORryde StepAbove steps is the part # MR97BR. We do not carry the handrail bolts though. view full answer...
I believe we do. Based off of some of the part numbers you gave me I am pretty sure you need the Replacement Steps, Motor, and Control for Kwikee RV Electric Steps - 27 Series - 29" Wide item # LC375632. These have an overall width of 30-5/8".
If this is not what you have I definitely need to see some pictures and get a few measurements of what you are replacing. view full answer...
In order to find the right replacement motor for the steps on your 2004 Fleetwood Excursion 39L you will need to identify the steps you have. You should be able to find the part number on a sticker similar to what is pictured below. You can also use that information to identify the steps. More than likely you will be able to use the Replacement Motor for Kwikee Electric RV Steps # LC379147. This upgrades the motor for steps manufactured from 1999-2005. view full answer...
Hi Rick; so unfortunately that is not correct due to the age of your Series 42 steps. Per Lippert (the manufacturer of Kwikee), steps from early 1999 actually have no replacement parts available due to the age (see below).
So while I know it stinks, the only thing I can offer is to replace your Series 42 steps with a new unit, the Replacement Steps, Motor, and Control for Kwikee RV Electric Steps - 42 Series # LC372779. view full answer...
