  • Troubleshooting A Non-Working Lift Motor On A Fan-Tastic RV Roof Vent
  • Hey John, If you're testing the wiring and there's power getting to the lift motor when the switch is in the off position then you either have a wiring issue or the vent is getting power from somewhere else. With the light going out immediately it sounds like it could be shorting out. What voltage are you reading when you test the power? The lift motor could be going out but the power issues you're describing could be the reason why so I would verify that you're getting a constant 12...

  • Troubleshooting MaxxFan Deluxe 00-07500K Not Opening
  • Thank you for providing that information. Since everything else appears to check out that narrows it down the operator mechanism as you said. Replacing it with the Replacement Operator Mechanism for MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus or MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vents # MA10-20281K-1AF should take care of the problem.

  • Troubleshooting A MaxxAir MaxxFan 7500 That's Running And Not Responding To Buttons Or Remote
  • Hey Sam, Typically if an RV vent fan is having issues it's going to be caused by your power and ground or a faulty circuit board. With yours running full blast randomly and the buttons not working the power most likely isn't the issue but it wouldn't hurt to check the voltage running to the power wire with a multimeter # PT89ZR to see if you're at 12 volts or if you're getting less or more, causing an issue for the circuit board. You should also verify that you have a good ground connection....

  • Troubleshooting Fan-Tastic Vent Has Constant Power With Honeywell T812D1025 Thermostat
  • I would start by checking all of your wiring to make sure there isn't a short. Also double check your ground connection. If that isn't the problem, it is likely the thermostat since it is responsible for sending the power when the fan should run. This has been discontinued but it looks like there are some replacements out there still if you run a simple search with that part number and they're a lot cheaper than a replacement fan like # FV803350.

  • Troubleshooting Diminished Fan Speed With An Atwood Air Conditioner System
  • Hey Eric, There really isn't much you can do to troubleshoot the fan on your air conditioner besides ensuring that it has the correct voltage running to it and keeping the shroud clean so that the unit can breathe. The fan going down to low on its own could be a power issue, or just some sort of communication error that you won't be able to fix without just replacing components, which are going to be hard to find since the Atwood brand has pretty much been discontinued at this point....

  • Troubleshooting a Red Light Turning On and Off and No Display Codes on the Fogatti LSB64FR
  • That sounds like an ignitor problem which could be caused by your propane supply or it could be a wiring issue on the Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater item # LSB64FR. I can walk you through the steps to check the wiring but you'll need to have a certified technician check the gas pressure because it could be a regulator problem. The Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB64FR has a switch located inside the unit to the left of the exhaust vent. If this switch is off the unit will not operate...
