The etrailer 5th Wheel King Pin Lock # e49PR has a 2-1/8" span to fit standard 5th wheel trailer king pins, which will typically be 2" in diameter. This would clamp to the smaller portion of the king pin where the 5th wheel trailer hitch jaws would typically sit. view full answer...
Hi Steve,
The wedge kit is designed to prevent the king pin from rotating inside of the jaws to force the pivot point back to the turret of the Sidewinder for additional turning clearance. Most rotating pin boxes will come with a generic rectangular-shaped wedge kit to fit the variety of hitches on the market but there are specific fit wedge kits designed to spread this force out more evenly across the funnel of the hitch head. The wedge handle should only need to be adjusted on the initial... view full answer...
It sure will! The Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret item # RP34FR you were looking does indeed fit the 1621 pin box. view full answer...
To use the Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System # AM3200 with a Road Armor pin box you'll need to reach out to Andersen for their lockout adapter. This will install on the pin box and prevent it from rocking back and forth so that it can be used with the Andersen Ultimate hitch. view full answer...
A shorter pin box will reduce your turning clearance by bringing your trailer in closer so you don't want to do that. The longest pin box we have that fits a 1621HD bolt pattern is the Curt Air Ride 5th Wheel Pin Box item # LC158778. The center of the king pin sits 27-3/8" from the back mounting bolts and 19-1/2" from the front one.
The issue is that the Curt Air Ride 5th Wheel Pin Box item # LC158778 will not work with the Anderson because it's incompatible with gooseneck adapters. However,... view full answer...
Hey Jim, the best wedge to use with a Companion hitch like the part # BWRVK3710 is the custom fit wedge part # SWW-06 which was specifically designed to work with the Companion hitch head and jaws. view full answer...
Hey there Jeff, good question, and I think you were referring to the Patriot as there isn't an 18,000 lb Companion. And the answer to your question is an unequivocal yes, a 12,000 lb 5th wheel like your Montana High Country can absolutely be pulled using the 18,000 lb B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3270.
You made a great choice with the Patriot, as not only is the weight rating correct, but there just isn't a better overall value for a 5th wheel hitch, in my opinion.... view full answer...
Hi Tony; that's a good question and unequivocally the better option is the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ S20 Slider # C55DR.
This will not only give you extra height, but won't void the warranty on your trailer frame like the Convert-A-Ball adapter does, gives you better turning clearance, and is just a more secure overall set up than what is essentially two different adapters.
The # C55DR is also just a really good hitch overall with a superb interlocking jaw system for a tight... view full answer...
Hey Bobby,
Good question, and to get the right Gen-Y to replace the Lippert Rhino on your new Alliance RV 36V11, the GVWR is all that's required. Since this trailer's GVWR is 16,950, its loaded pin weight will be in the 3,800 lb range (give or take).
For that you'd need the Gen-Y with a 3,500 lb - 5,500 lb pin weight capacity, and to replace your Rhino pin box you'd use the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY23GR. view full answer...
Hey Carl, yes the Curt E16 hitch part # C16115 does work with the Demco rail kit adapter and a Reese Revolution pin box but due to it's loose jaw design it would not be my first choice.
Instead I would recommend the Curt A16 part # C16120 which also fits both the rail adapter and pin box, has the same height range as the E16 but has a much nicer jaw design so it will be a lot quieter. view full answer...
I'm sorry to say Rob, Gen-Y does not offer a pin box with a gooseneck adapter that will fit in place of the Venture CJ13515 pin box you have on your 2007 Weekend Warrior. I know you mentioned you already have an Andersen Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter w/8" Offset # AM3139 so I am assuming you are looking for a way to smooth out the ride. We do have a similar Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter w/ Offset # CAB-C5GX1216 which will connect... view full answer...
I recommend using the Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C57FR to pull your Keystone Montana 37811RL 5th wheel with your 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 long bed dually. This will drop into the factory mounts/pucks already in your bed without the need for any additional adapters or rails. The Q20 is their quiet hitch so your ride will be much more enjoyable and have less creaking and moaning on long trips.
The hitch will come with a Lube Plate # 16721 to fit onto your king pin but be sure... view full answer...
The Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack # HR4000 is going to require a threaded hitch lock like the Lock # HRLHPT which should have come with the bike rack. A standard locking pin like the Lock # HRLHP2 you found is a full 5/8" diameter to fit the hitch pin hole while the Lock # HRLHPT has a 1/2" diameter threaded section. view full answer...
Hey John, thanks for the picture of the coupler on your Demco tow dolly # DM9713093. Since the coupler style is an EZ latch the InfiniteRule Lock part # IR66FR would fit it and work great to lock it. view full answer...
Hello again Mark. The Brophy Hitch Extender # HE06 does not have a threaded hitch pin hole. There is still an anti-rattle hitch pin you can use with it, which is the Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # 63232. This lock comes with a block that is placed inside of the hollow shank of the hitch extender. This block is tapped and will accept the 5/8" threaded pin, so basically giving you the same anti-rattle capabilities as if the hitch extended did have a tapped hitch pin hole.

Sun, the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for Kuat Transfer Bike Racks # HLT is not compatible with the Kuat Trasnfer V2 bike racks unfortunately. Instead, you'd want to use the Hitch Lock for Kuat Bike Racks # HL1, which is compatible with your V2. view full answer...
The BOLT Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # BLT99FR is rated for a gross trailer weight of 16,000 lbs and a tongue weight of 1,600 lbs. If you are needing something with a higher capacity check out the InfiniteRule Hitch Lock # 34061074-D. This will also fit up to a 3" Ford receiver and has a stainless steel construction. It has a sheer strength rating of 42,000lbs. view full answer...
Based on your description it sounds like you have the Dexter Zinc-Plated, Leverlock Coupler # T4845000. However, I have no way to be sure without additional information. If you have a pin running through it then you could use the # e98888 which has a 3-3/8" span and 1/4" diameter.
You could also use a lock like the Fastway Universal Coupler Lock # FA86-0015-317. This is a surround style lock that fits 1-7/8", 2" and 2-5/16" ball couplers with a max width of 4-1/2". view full answer...
Since the front pins on the Gen-Y Hitch Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # GY83XR do not lock into the factory pucks there aren't really any adjustments you can make to these pins. As an alternative you could try some rubber washers on the pins to see if they will help the rattle you are getting. view full answer...
