When we had the chance to install the Curt hitch part # C11436 on a 2017 Chevy Volt it was a vehicle that had backup sensors and we were able to complete the install and they worked fine.

Your old assemblies grounded the lighting circuit through the mounting hardware and the lights you are looking at, # STL008RB, ground with a ground wire strap.
