Will the Thule the Gateway Bike Rack part # TH88VR fit a 2013 Chevy Volt
Question:
This rack and others are listed as appropriate for the Chevy Volt, but there are no illustrations of any rack mounted on a Volt. The rear end and trunk configuration of the Volt are different from the Cruze and the Hondas that are illustrated. Can I be sure this rack will really mount securely on a Volt? I dont really see how the upper and lower bars could mount appropriately. Thanks

We haven't had the chance to install a trunk mounted bike rack on a 2013 Chevy Volt so we don't have any install pics or viceos, but according to Thule this is confirmed to fit your vehicle. The following fit tips are recommended:
Place top clips in the gap at the front edge of the top of the trunk, hatch or door.
Place lower clips in the bottom edge of trunk or hatch.
Lower arm of carrier should be positioned on upper tier of bumper.
If you plan on carrying any women's or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Swagman Easy-Out Women's and Alternative Frame Bike Adapter # to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes to be carried more level and will provide more ground clearance.
