The Curt Breakaway Battery Charger part # C52025 only charges the breakaway battery while the trailer is plugged into the vehicle and the vehicle's battery charge line circuit is active (it could be constant on or keyed with the ignition). Once the trailer is connected and the circuit is active, the charger will provide a trickle charge to the breakaway battery. There is a shutoff feature built-in to prevent overcharging.

Basically, all of the hitches for the 2002 Suzuki Vitara will have the receiver directly below the rear fascia on the vehicle. After looking at some interior pictures of a 2001 Suzuki Vitara I think the best place to install a P3 brake controller, # 90195, would be in that small pocket in front of the gear selector. The controller will have to be pointed nose up but you should be able to mount that bracket near the top forward side of that pocket and get the controller to fit.

The bolts that come with the Curt # C13517 will be 12mm. With your Suzuki Vitara being a 2004, the factory weld nuts can get kind of caked with road grime and debris. Before getting the hitch bolted up, it is a good idea to soak the 4 nuts with WD-40 and then give them a good scrub with a nylon tube brush, like the Fastenal # 814092. In more severe cases, a thread chaser will need to be used to clear the gunk out, but generally the tube brush gets the job done. view full answer...

To carry a wheelchair on your Grand Vitara, you'll first need a trailer hitch. I'd recommend the Curt Class III, part # C13517. To carry the wheelchair, I'd recommend the Flint Hill Goods # FHG77ZR. The carrier is capable of folding up flat against the rear of the vehicle when the wheelchair is removed, but the spare tire on your vehicle would probably prevent it from folding.
