Cleaning the Weld Nuts to Install a Trailer Hitch On a 2004 Suzuki Vitara
Question:
What size are the bolts for the frame mount? I want to make sure the threads are still good before I buy hitch.

The bolts that come with the Curt # C13517 will be 12mm. With your Suzuki Vitara being a 2004, the factory weld nuts can get kind of caked with road grime and debris. Before getting the hitch bolted up, it is a good idea to soak the 4 nuts with WD-40 and then give them a good scrub with a nylon tube brush, like the # 814092. In more severe cases, a thread chaser will need to be used to clear the gunk out, but generally the tube brush gets the job done.
