Installation of a brake controller and 7-Way wiring connector on a 1999 Dodge Van is pretty straight forward. You will first need a working 4-Way connector. If you do not already have one the T-One wiring harness, # 118368, is the correct harness for your van.
You would then need a brake controller installation kit, # ETBC7. This kit includes the 7-Way trailer connector, wiring, circuit breakers and other hardware needed to complete a professional looking installation. We also have detailed... view full answer...
Your 2002 Dodge van does not have a connection port under the dash for direct connection of a trailer brake controller like the Draw-Tite Activator # 5100 so the installation needs to be hard wired. Installing the Activator # 5504 in your van requires a pigtail lead # 20127, a basic 4-pole trailer harness like # 118381 (if you have a factory 7-way) or # 18252 (without factory 7-way) along with brake controller Installation Kit # ETBC7.
These kits have all of the parts needed to compete... view full answer...
I actually made that video to demonstrate the sound the deer alert # HM27512VA makes. I define it as an echoing chirp. It chirps about 4 times, the first is the loudest, and then gets only slightly quieter with each chirp after that. Then it repeats as long as it is on.
It will make noise as long as there is power to it so you would probably want it on a switch. You would not have to keep turning it on and off. It is probably not going to bother your dog since it will be in the vehicle... view full answer...
For the Replacement 3-Speed Switch for Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent, part # FVK1031-05, the left terminal (B) is for the battery, the upper right (C) is for the circuit board, and the lower right (M) is for the motor. Refer to the picture below.
The colors the wires have are generally:
Battery - Black
Circuit Board - Yellow
Motor - Red
If your fan does not have 3 wires to connect to, then try connecting the two wires you have and testing to see if the switch still functions. If it does not,... view full answer...
Many light trucks that already have a 7-way trailer connector installed from the factory will have some kind of wiring up under the dash of the vehicle to wire or plug into the brake controllers wiring harness. However on the 2000 Dodge full size van, this wiring is not installed.
The Universal Brake Controller Installation Kit, # ETBC7, will allow you to install the 7-way connecter and brake controller on you van.
First, you will need to install a 4-way connecter to run the trailer... view full answer...
I am sending you a link to the install instructions for the Roadmaster Rear Sway Bar part # RM-1129-107 that you referenced but I attached a picture I took from them that shows how it looks installed. view full answer...
According to some brake controller instructions for a different controller the brake switch wire on a 2000 Dodge vehicle is white and would connect to the brake controller red wire. However, you will want to test to be sure before splicing into any wires. Use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 if you do not already have one. You will test the brake switch wires until you find the one that shows power ONLY when you apply the brake pedal. If you find a wire you think is correct, but it also... view full answer...
We do not have an installation facility in Connecticut. We do offer detailed instructions on how to correctly install the # 75140 hitch on the 1989 Dodge B1500 Van. This hitch installation is very easy and does not require drilling or welding, if you have basic mechanical skills you could install the hitch yourself. Be aware that the hitch isn't compatible with step bumpers-only the stock bumper.
If you decide to purchase the hitch, you will also need a drawbar, item # BWBMHD30010, pin... view full answer...
If you are installing a brake controller such as the Primus IQ # TK90160 with Installation Kit for Brake Controllers # ETBC7 you can find the cold side of the brake switch on your 1997 Dodge Van with Circuit Tester # PTW2979.
The cold side of the brake switch will be the wire above your brake pedal that only shows power when the brake pedal is pushed down; through trial and error you can find that wire by utilizing the circuit tester.
I have added a link to a help article in brake controller... view full answer...
It is actually pretty common for people to put some bolts through a surge brake actuator like what you have so that they can have a standard coupler. This would be the best solution for you aside from replacing the coupler entirely so you can use your HydraStar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes # HBA16.
The one thing you need to look out for when doing this is making sure that your hardware is strong enough so that you don't have to worry about it breaking while you're towing. view full answer...
Installing a brake controller on your 2001 Dodge 1500 Van is a hardwire installation. In addition to the brake controller and the wiring harness like # 20127, you may also need a 4 and 7 Way Installation kit, # ETBC7 depending on what type of trailer connector is on the van.
If the van already has a 7-Way trailer connector, you will need to add a brake controller installation kit, # 5506. On the back of the 7-Way connector, find the wire that is coming out of the 7:00 position. Cut the... view full answer...
Based on my research the 2002 Dodge Ram Van 1500 doesn't actually come equipped with a factory brake controller port behind the dash. The Tekonsha Plug-In Harness # 3020-P that you referenced is for the 1995-2009 Dodge Ram Pickup and isn't compatible with the Van models.
On your Ram 1500 Van the Prodigy P3 Brake Controller # 90195 will need to be hardwired in. I'm not sure what the van is already equipped with but if you don't have an existing 7-Way connector this will need to be added... view full answer...
Your 2021 Forest River Flagstaff E-Pro E15TB has a GVWR of nearly 3,900 lbs, so a good estimate for your loaded tongue weight is going to be in the 450 lb - 500 lb range. For that tongue weight, what you will need for a weight distribution hitch that will give you the rise you need is one from Blue Ox:
- Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - 7-Hole Shank # BLU36FR
The TrackPro # BLU36FR has a maximum rise of 8 inch, and is for loaded tongue weights between 200 lbs and... view full answer...
The Tow Ready Multi-Plug T-One Assembly, part # 20135, you have referenced will only fit the 2001 Dodge Ram Van that has an existing factory 7-Way connector on the vehicle. It is to be used as a 4-Way and 7-Way replacement for the factory 7-Way on the vehicle.
If your 2001 Dodge Ram Van has the factory square plug for the wiring harness at the rear of the vehicle, you will need the Tow Ready T-One Wiring Harness, part # 118381, and the Hopkins Adapter, part # 37185.
You will need to... view full answer...
When wiring up the Deka Battery Isolator # DW08771 the main/first battery will connect directly to position one on the isolator without the need for a circuit breaker. The second battery though should be attached to the second position on the isolator via a circuit breaker that is rated appropriately for the battery. The alternator will go to the A post on the isolator.
I have attached a diagram that you might find helpful as well.
You should not have to worry about the second battery... view full answer...

Weldnuts are the nuts that a mounting bolt will thread into and are welded to the holes on the inside of the vehicles frame. Usually it is just a nut inside the vehicle frame but it might be a plate with threads. Removing the weldnuts might be very difficult since they are located inside the vehicles frame and hard to access.
I am sending a link to a video that will show how to remove corrosion inside a weldnut. This video will show you the weldnut in the frame.

I took a look at the installation instructions in regards to using a the nut retainer as opposed to a cotter pin and it specifies:
"1) Finger tighten the nut until just snug ... Once in place the retainer/nut assembly should be free to move slightly. 2) If the nut is too tight, remove the the retainer and back the nut off approximately one twelfth of a turn and reinstall the retainer. The nut should now be free to move slightly." view full answer...
