  • Will the Rola NV2 Bike Rack or a Platform Rack Fit a Class I Trailer Hitch on a 2009 Cadillac STS
  • I do have a recommendation I think you are going to like. First, the Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike Rack # Y02445 will not fit as it is for Class II hitches. The hitch on your 2009 Cadillac STS is a class I hitch. But not to fear, because I do have a solution for you. I recommend the Swagman XTC-2, # S64670. This is a platform style rack. It fits in a Class I, 1-1/4 inch hitch like yours, holds two bikes, and secures the bikes at the wheels and at the frame. The platform style racks are easier...

  • How to Determine Towing Capacity for a 2005 Cadillac STS
  • The final authority will be the owner's manual of your 2005 Cadillac STS, but from the research I did it looks like the max towing weight for your vehicle would be 1,000 lbs. The Curt hitch part # C11307 has a 2,000 lb capacity, but a towing setup is only as strong as the weakest component so you would be limited to 1,000 lbs regardless of what hitch you use. For trailer wiring you would want the part # C59496, ball mount part # C45522, pin and clip part # F-4, 1-7/8 ball part # C40001,...

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver Capacity for 2006 Cadillac STS AHK
  • We do not have any trailer hitch for your 2006 Cadillac STS that is able to tow that much. We only have the Class I hitch # 24767 from Draw-Tite or # C11307 from Curt. Both of these are rated for 2,000 lbs maximum.

  • Can Rain Get Into the Ventline Powered Vanair Trailer Roof Vent # VP-543SP
  • It is not likely but possible for rain to get into the vent when it is open. The outer lid overlaps the lower housing so water would have to come in sideways (if parked level) for it to get in. Also if the trailer is parked on an incline, the angle required to enter in the vent would not be as severe so you just have to plan accordingly. For installation we recommend using install kit # 344270KITW.

  • Rubber Adjuster Recommendation for Use with Glacier Chains PW1042
  • Rubber tensioners for the Glacier Chains part # PW1042 are available but they do not come with the chains. You would want the part # PW99 for if you have 16-19 inch rims or part # PW97 for 19-1/2 inch to 24-1/2 inch rims. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.

  • Roof Cargo Options for a Cadillac 2009 STS Four Door
  • The best option I can recommend for you is the Cargo Bag # RL100S30. This cargo bag can be used on any style of roof. From full roof racks with crossbars to completely naked roofs. The SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box # SR7018 that you referenced will require cross bars, and since your vehicle does not have cross bars and we do not sell a roof rack for your vehicle that would give you cross bars I cannot recommend you attempt to use this cargo box.

  • Switch on Electric Trailer Jack Just Makes a Clicking Sound
  • Since you mention that the trailer jack worked fine last year before removing it, I recommend that you start by checking the ground wire and make sure that it is secured to a clean metal surface on the trailer. Next I would make sure that your battery is fully charged and has enough amperage to run the motor. If your trailer jack still isn't functioning properly, you could have a bad switch or motor. In order to determine which component is defective, you would need to remove the switch...
