  • Fit and Compatibility of the SportRack Roof Rack Part # SR1003 Fit On My 1997 Geo Metro Hatchback
  • Yes! The SportRack roof rack # SR1003 and short roof adapter # SR1116 will fit on your 1997 Geo Metro hatchback (also known as a 3 door). It's a removable roof rack that easily clamps to your naked roof on your 1997 Geo Metro. The weight capacity is 130 pounds but always be sure to check your Owners Manual for the maximum carrying capacity. You will always go with the lowest rating. The adapter # SR1116 allows you to mount the Sport Rack # SR1003 allows you to increase the distance between...

  • Tow Bar, Base Plates and Flat Towing Accessories for 1996 Geo Metro
  • To flat tow your 1996 Geo Metro, you'll need a towbar, base plates, safety cables, a method of wiring the vehicle so the taillights of the tow vehicle operate those of the Metro and a supplemental braking system. The Blue Ox Adventurer you referenced, part # BX7322 would work fine. For a base plate that bolts to the front of the vehicle frame and provides an attachment point for the tow bar, you could use the Blue Ox # BX3507 (as long as your vehicle isn't a GTI model.) For safety cables,...

  • Oil Filter Relocation Kit for 1991 Geo Metro
  • The Bosch 3330 filter uses a 3/4-16 thread. For a filter relocation kit, I'd recommend part # D15715 from Derale. The threads on the spin-on adapter that attaches to the filter landing and the remote mount are both 3/4-16, so this kit would work perfectly for you. The kit includes the spin-on adapter, the remote mount, the 1/2 NPT fittings, hose clamps and 10 feet of 1/2 inch ID hose.

  • Base Plates and Recommended Tow Bar for Flat Towing 1992 Geo Metro LSi Behind Motorhome
  • According to Roadmaster, their # 117-3 base plates aren't a fit for LSI models of the 1992 Geo Metro. However, the Blue Ox # BX3506 will fit your vehicle, so that's what I'd recommend. For a compatible tow bar, I'd recommend going with the # e47ZR etrailer brand SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox base plates. The tow bar includes the needed safety cables. You'll also need a few other items to complete your flat towing system. For a wiring harness so the Metro's taillights work in tandem...

  • Is It Normal For The Lid On My MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent To Have Some Play In High Wind?
  • I took a look at your MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat # MA00-05100K, and yes some play in your vent lid is completely normal. Since you are in an area with relatively high winds like you mention, some play in your lid is expected. Alternatively, if you do find that your lift arms aren't functioning any longer as before, i.e., the lid reaches a certain height and bumps down to a partially opened state, you will need to replace the lift arms with the: -Replacement Lift...

  • Can 4.80-12 Size Tires be Used to Replace 145/80-12 Size Tires
  • I never recommend having different tires on your trailer at the same time. Maybe if one is a spare and you're only using for a short distance in an emergency but not for regular towing by any means. If you're going to change one tire to a 4.80-12 then I recommend changing both of them. The 4.80-12 tires are about an inch smaller in diameter and 3/4 of an inch skinnier so you won't have an issue with clearance. On the other hand we do carry 145/80R12 size tires. We part # AM10130 which...
