Hey Jessica, the Thule Hullavator part # TH898 requires a set of aftermarket crossbars that extend past the feet of the rack a few inches and also ideally have a channel on top of them to make attaching easier as well. It looks like your 2006 Jeep Liberty is equipped with an older Roadmaster base plate kit so to replace the parts that attach to a tow bar you need the Roadmaster Replacement Arms for Base Plate Kits # RM-ARMS.
