I would recommend you orientate the Thule Pulse Cargo Box # TH613 as far to the back of the vehicle as you can when installing it on your roof if you are looking for the best aerodynamics. This will reduce air from getting underneath the front of the box while at highway speeds.

The hitch you asked about, part # C11124 is a Class l hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening, so you will want to keep that in mind when selecting accessories that will work with the hitch. A note from Curt states that all non-trailer loads - bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth - should be supported with stabilizing straps, like part # 18050. To get the clip of the included pin and clip of the Curt Hitch part # C11124 you will need to basically just need to try various angles of the pin while trying to insert the clip so that you can eventually find the right angle/orientation of the clip so that it will insert all the way into the pin.
You may even try running it up from underneath the safety chain loop if there is access there.
