  • Curt Trailer Hitch For 1999 Honda Civic Hatchback
  • The # C11209 measures 6-1/8 inch of clearance from the mounting surface on the frame to the bottom of the safety chain loops under the hitch receiver opening. You can measure from the frame downward to see where you will wind up with the bottom of the hitch. This is a Class l hitch, it has a 2,000-lb towing capacity and a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. You will want to make sure you do not exceed the towing capacity of your Civic. Curt requires that a stabilizing strap like part # 18050...

  • Optronics Trailer Lights # STL72RB LED Light Brightness
  • I spoke with my contact at Optronics and was informed that the Lumen Difference between the # STL22RB and the # STL72RB LED tail lights is not tested by Optronics. I was told though that the more LED lights that are in the tail light the brighter the light will be whether the description says super diode or not. I have personally installed the Sealed, 6-1/2 inch Oval LED Trailer Stop, Turn and Tail Light, 10 Super Diode, item # STL72RB, on a CornPro 24 foot car hauler and these lights...

  • Can a Load Range C Trailer Tire be Used in Place of a Load Range B Trailer Tire
  • If the load range B tires will sufficiently cover the gross trailer weight capacity then that is what you should go with. Going with a higher capacity tire would not allow the trailer to carry more weight because it is still limited by the axle and suspension. You could go with the higher capacity tire but with more plies in the construction it could heat up faster and you could also experience a stiffer ride. I have included a link to the right to our help article on trailer tires for you.

  • Comparison Of Trailer Hitches For 2012 Honda Civic
  • We make videos and take photos of the trailer hitch installations on vehicles as they are brought in and installed here. Unfortunately, we do not have any photos of this hitch installed on a 2012 Civic. I have attached a video from when we installed it on a 2013 Civic though. I have attached a link to a best options video on a 2012 Civic you can check out. As stated in the video, the trailer hitches we offer that will fit the Civic are all very similar and would have very similar looks...

  • Comparing Vehicle Wiring Harnesses For 2012 Honda Civic
  • There is not much of a difference, with the only difference being that the # HM11143185 you were looking at will pull power directly from the battery of your 2012 Honda Civic so you will not need to worry about damaging your factory wiring, but will require you to run that wire yourself. I recommend going with the # HM11143175 if your Civic is a coupe, or # 118420 if your Civic is a sedan as these options do not require you to run the power wire to the battery meaning they will be quite...

  • Saris Bones 2 vs Saris Sentinel 2 for Honda Civic 2011 or 2012
  • The Saris Bones bike rack part # SA805BL that you referenced is the top of the line trunk mounted bike rack that Saris makes. The Saris Guardian part # SAR93FR that you referenced is the economical option that Saris offers. Either would work very well and are confirmed to fit your vehicles, but the Bones offers a little more flexibility in how it can mount and is designed to fit better on vehicles with spoilers. The arms of the Bones are adjustable and can let you set them so that your...

  • What is the Difference Between Coiled Safety Cables and Straight Safety Cables
  • The difference between coiled safety cables like # RM-643, and straight cables like # RM-645, other than the design, is the applications for which you would use each. For example, some tow bars, like # RM-422, have built in safety cable channels which would ideally work with straight cables. The channels hold the coils up so that they do not get caught on anything or drag on the ground. So for a tow bar with built-in channels, I recommend straight cables. Coiled safety cables are best...

  • Comparing the Swagman XC2 and Hollywood Racks Trail Rider for a 2009 Honda Civic
  • The Swagman XC bike rack # S64650 and Hollywood Racks Trail Rider # HR200Z are comparable in both style and function. I give the edge to the Trail Rider though because several people here own and love their Hollywood Racks bike racks so I can say first hand that they do make a quality rack.

  • What is the Difference Between Curt and Draw-Tite Trailer Hitches for a 2005 Honda Civic
  • The Curt hitch # C11204 does not require any exhaust modification for installation. The installation The Curt hitch instructions which I have linked for you seem to indicate that the holes are large enough so it is possible that you would not have to make modifications for either hitch. This install does not require any drilling and is rated as a 3 out of 10 for difficulty. The Curt hitch will be fairly concealed with just the receiver visible. On the Draw-Tite hitch the receiver and...

  • Difference Between Curt 11391 and 11437 Class 1 Hitch for 8th Generation Honda Civic
  • The Curt 11437 has been discontinued, it was replaced/superseded by part # C11391. The hitch design was updated so that it would also fit hybrid models of the Honda Civic, but it still fits the standard model as well. The hitch appearance, capacity and install procedure hasn't changed. If you click the provided link, you can see an install video.

  • What Trunk Bike Rack Do You Recommend for My 2019 Honda Civic Si Sedan?
  • If you are trying to decide between the Yakima Fullback # Y02634 (2-bike version) / # Y02633 (3-bike version) and the Saris Bones EX # SAR83FR (2-bike version) / # SA803 (3-bike version), the Saris Bones EX models will unfortunately not fit your 2019 Honda Civic SI Sedan. With that limitation, that leaves the Yakima Fullback models (which I confirmed as a fit with Yakima). The Fullback is a great option because it comes with a locking cable (unlike the Bones EX). This locking cable provides...
