The Draw-Tite # 76020 does have a tech tip of needing to modify the heat shield as it does fit a few years of the Mazda CX-9. Some of the 2018 models did need this shield modified slightly to fit properly, but it looks like that may have been limited to that year. You are going to need to get a new trailer hitch receiver for your 2021 Mazda CX-9. The frame and body style changed in 2016 so you will not be able to reuse your current receiver. We have the Draw-Tite in a 2" # 76020 receiver tube. Based on your images it looks like you have a Yakima bike rack but I cannot tell if it fits a 2" or 1-1/4" receiver tube. You will need to measure the width/height of the tube that slides into the receiver to ensure you get the correct size receiver.

I spoke with my contact at Rhino-Rack who said that they don't have any notes about there being any issues between the part # RRRVP51 and the moon roof on a 2019 Mazda CX-9 but she did say that you need to be careful not to overtighten the hardware.
