I am happy to help you install the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole part # 37185 on the 2003 Subaru Baja. If your trailer does not have brakes and you are using the plug as an adapter to adapt your 4-Way to a 7-way then all you would need to do is mount the plug and ground it to a clean bare metal surface of the vehicle's frame. While we do have a Curt # C11280 are 1-1/4" Class I trailer hitches. If you wanted a 2" receiver you need to use the Brophy Hitch Extender # HES0 but this cuts the weight ratings of the trailer hitch by 50% which means your limited to 1,000 lbs towing/100 lbs tongue weight.
Since this is less than ideal, I recommend using an accessory that fits a Class I trailer hitch receiver. If you let me know what you plan on using the trailer hitch for, I can make additional recommendations as necessary.
