Hey Matt. I was looking over some pictures and specs for these old town discovery solo 119 canoes. It looks pretty neat, kind of a canoe/kayak hybrid. To answer your question, yes, I do think the Yakima Kayak Roof Rack # Y04083-04082 will work very well for carrying this kind of canoe.

The front saddles and rollers can be adjusted to fit the shape and virtually any kayak or canoe under 80 lbs. From what I could find online, these old town discovery solo 119 canoes are 11'9" long and 32.5" wide and weigh about 56 lbs. These dimensions are fairly similar to a kayak of the same length, which is what the Yakima carrier is made for.

It may take you a few tries to get the rollers and saddles adjusted in just the right way, but once you do, this will be a safe and secure way to carry this canoe. In my experience with carriers like these, there is always a way to make it work. The roller system will also make loading and unloading much easier - especially if you are doing all of that by yourself.
