All of our replacement RV electric step assemblies will tend to be at a similar height since they must provide enough ground clearance when retracted to allow for safe travel. When extended their height depends on how many steps the unit has and the nature of the RV itself.
If you existing RV steps work okay but are just too high up you might be better offer simply using a separate stationary step to give you a boost to get up to that first step pad. The Safety Step adjustable step # SASXLA-09C-G... view full answer...
There really isn't a set ground clearance, the underside of the housing will sit 14-1/2 inches lower than the top of the mounting flanges as shown in the provided photo. If you measure 14-1/2 inches downward from where you'll mount the steps, you'll know exactly where the underside of the steps will sit in relation to everything else on the RV undercarriage.

The reason I say approximately is because this is a scissor step which means that the higher the vertical distance the steps come down the further out they will go as they extend.
