In the exact situation that you are referencing the measurement taken was in-between Bearing Buddy sizes so it would have been better to use one slightly larger than one that is slightly smaller as a smaller size wouldn't be able to remain installed properly.

The Trailer Wheel Center Cap # 319EZ may be a little too big if you measured right at 3-1/8" for your hub bore. Since this is a fairly precise measurement I recommend taking it again and possibly use a digital caliper like part # PTW80157 if you have one handy to make sure it fits.

Typically there will be some sort of model number somewhere on the rooftop unit under the shroud, or a sticker on the controller in between the condenser and air distribution box, or even just on the inside of the air distribution box. You might even luck out and find the wiring diagram on the controller or condenser unit since they typically have it readily available to help make installation easier. There are indeed a few different bearings used in a 5,200 lb axle but the inner diameters are the same so there should not be any issue. The Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly part # 8-201-5UC3-EZ will fit, but the trailer can use either the included 2.125" grease seal or a 2.250" part # GS-2250DL so if you don't want to take apart the hubs just yet, buy the other seals so you are covered either way, the bearings won't be an issue though. view full answer...
