The OEM plug that would allow you to use the # HM40975-11933 should be found at the rear of your 2022 Ram 5500. Everything indicates that your truck has the rectangular factory plug that would allow you to use this wiring harness. Typically this would be found behind a cover for the 7-way but I don't have an exact location for a 5500 cab and chassis.

The fuse for the trailer brake module is located in the engine compartment fuse box that is located near the battery on your 2018 Ram 5500. The 30 amp pink fuse is located in position F11.
In my experience if all the wiring and fuses are good you will need to take it to your nearest Ram Service Center as the computer may need to be flashed or updated to get the controller working properly again.

You would need a factory wire harness from Dodge first and could then install the Pollak 5th Wheel / Gooseneck T-Connector with 7-Pole # PK11893-33-32 inline with the factory harness to get a 7-way socket in the bed of the truck as well. view full answer...
