The RetraxONE XR Hard Tonneau Cover - Retractable - Polycarbonate - Matte Black - Accessory T-Slots # RTT-60245 is going to be scratch resistant and it won't dent where the aluminum # RTT-80245 can get scratched and dented. Conversely the aluminum cover is going to be a bit stronger with its' 500-lbs capacity compared to the 250-lbs on the polycarbonate tonneau. Normally this isn't too important since you're not really using it to carry loads, but if you're the type of person who tends... view full answer...
The Du-Ha Truck Storage Box and Gun Case # DU89VR uses a heavy-duty polyethylene which is formed in a roto-molding process. This provides for a more rigid feel and is the process used for tough coolers and kayaks. Even with that it does not compare to something like steel but it defiantly is stronger than other plastics which commonly use a press forming process. view full answer...
I agree that the SumoSprings will offer a better ride than the Timbrens. Timbrens do offer a higher capacity and are recommended for vehicles that are under a constant load like a truck with a camper in the bed. The downside of the Timbrens is that it will affect the factory ride when you are not towing. They do not make constant contact with the axle and you will feel the hard rubber making contact when you go over bumps.
Sumo springs also do not make constant contact with the axle,... view full answer...
Other than the weight capacities, there isn't really a difference between the Air Lift Standard Duty # AL60818 and Heavy Duty # AL60818HD. As to the popularity of the # AL60818 over the # AL60818HD, it will actually have to do with the capacities as well.
Most people that are looking for air bags will either be looking for a little bit of help, or quite a bit of help. By that I mean the people that are looking for a little support to supplement their suspension will typically lean towards... view full answer...
Both the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F4185 and the Air Lift AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs part # AL60818 are good options for your 2017 Ram 1500. The only real difference between the two is their pressure rating. As you previously mentioned, the Firestone airbags are rated up to 70 psi whereas the AirLift airbags are only rated up to 35 psi.
Although the Firestone airbags are rated up to a higher psi than the AirLift airbags, they both have a maximum load leveling capacity... view full answer...
For your 2017 Ram 1500 with a 5-1/2 foot long bed the part # 311-SMD77A01 is the Pace Edwards SwitchBlade tonneau and the part # 311-KRD77A01 is their UltraGroove cover. Both of these are spring loaded so that to open them you just release the lever and the slide forward fully open. The UltraGroove can then be pulled back closed or stopped partially open and the Switchblade will be either fully open or fully closed. It can not partially open.
The UltraGroove also has a T-slots so that... view full answer...

You're on the money as the only thing separating the two Westin HDX nerf bars that fit your 2020 Ram 1500 Crew Cab is the design. As you can see by the linked installation instructions for both bars, they even install the same on your truck, bolting onto your rocker panel without any drilling needed. The only tools required are a 13mm socket, ratchet, and torque wrench.
I have added a photo showing both the Westin HDX Nerf Bars with Drop Steps # 56-14085 and Westin HDX Xtreme Nerf Bars... view full answer...
The TruXedo Pro X15 Soft Tonneau Cover # TX1484901 is more of a low profile tonneau cover. It only sits up less than 1 inch from your truck rails unlike the Truxedo Lo Pro # TX584901 which sits about 1-1/2 inches above the rails. The Lo Pro Soft Roll-Up # TX584901 is a bit more glossy. It resembles a shiny vinyl unlike the Pro X15 # TX1484901. Both install basically the same and the latch system is the same. Only difference is the height added to the truck bed and the finish of the top.... view full answer...
The first difference between the TruXedo Sentry CT Hard Tonneau Cover # TX1545916 and the TruXedo Sentry # TX1545901 is the material. The Sentry CT's cover is made of polyester, vinyl and aluminum while the Sentry's cover includes just aluminum and vinyl. Secondly, the warrantees are different. For the Sentry CT, there is a 5-year warranty; for the Sentry, it is a 3-year warranty. Other than those differences, they are the same. view full answer...
There is only one Primus brake controller. There was a previous generation, this is true, 39515, discontinued in April 2010.
The Primus IQ, # TK90160, has the same internal parts as the original Prodigy, 90185. Both Primus controllers use an accelerometer to detect deceleration. The newest one, the IQ, has a boost feature and works proportionally in reverse.
The boost feature increases the initial amount of braking power and has 3 levels depending on the weight of the trailer being towed.... view full answer...
The Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BXW1006 and the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BLU66FR are identical aside from different shanks included in each kit. The # BXW1006 uses a shank that can be adjusted from a 7" drop to a 13" rise. The # BLU66FR uses a shank that can be adjusted from a 7.8" drop all the way to a 14.72" rise, so this one offers a little more versatility.
Both systems have a tongue weight range of 750-1000lbs, so either one will... view full answer...
If you were to place 1,500 lbs into the bed of your 2017 Ram 1500, you would experience less squat using the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TDR1500DQ than the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-307-47. However, as you mentioned the benefit of the SumoSprings is that they don't produce as harsh of a ride. The Timbrens are made of a much denser rubber than the SumoSprings which means they will provide more support but less ride comfort.
It really just comes... view full answer...
Installing the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1129-135 on your 2018 Ram 1500 will help with sway while an air bag kit like the Firestone # F2595 will not only help with that sway, but it will also help with rear sag.
If you're leaning towards something that is maintenance free and helps with the sway then go with the anti-sway bar. For something that offers more control and will help with rear sag then definitely go with an air bag kit. Let me know what you're looking to get out of... view full answer...
Between the CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors # CIP98MR and the K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors # KS80730 for your 2020 Ram 1500, I prefer the K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors # KS80730.
The reason I prefer the K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors # KS80730 is because they just snap onto your mirrors with no additional hardware that that could get lost. They also feature cut-outs that allow for features your mirror may have (like turn signals) to still function. view full answer...
I would be happy to answer that question for you. The main difference between the Curt Front Hitch Receiver item # C87FR and the Draw-Tite Front Hitch Receiver Item # 65081 is the difficulty in installation. The Curt is way easier to install. You have to remove the front air dam and splitter to install the Draw-Tite. They both have identical capacities with a 9,000 lbs line pull and a 500 lbs vertical load limit. Since the capacities are the same I recommend the Curt item # C87FR based... view full answer...

To determine if either the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC279687 or MORryde Rubber Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailers # MR87ZR will fit your 2019 Heartland Pioneer 250 RL you will need to measure the length of your current equalizers between the two horizontal mounting holes on center.
