- I spoke with my contact at Lippert Components and he said that there should be a cam on the side of your steps that allow you to adjust your steps, but the 4" difference that you are seeing is either the result of a bad motor or your gear missing a tooth.
Try checking the teeth on your gear to make sure everything looks good. Either way if you could let me know what steps you have I can either help you find what you need.

Lippert makes two switches that work opposite of each other, one completes the circuit when they are connected, and the other opens when they are connected.
